GPS issue running Nike Run Club with Apple watch series 2

I have my Apple Watch 2 setup with the Nike Run Club app. On numerous occasions I have tried to run without my iPhone (6 running 10.0.2) and for some reason the GPS does not appear to be working. While I can log runs, the pace/time is completely off and it's not capturing GPS data as the maps don't appear in the app once I log and submit the run. Also, I would assume the GPS isn't working since the pace is so far off. It seems to me it's logging the runs using the accelerometer which hasn't yet been calibrated as I want to be able to log the runs using GPS. I need help. Has anyone else had the same using while trying to use this app? I bought the watch to replace an old Nike+ band, in the hopes I could run without the phone, but it's been an uphill battle making it work. Has the Nike Run Club app not yet been updated to fully utilize GPS data from the Apple Watch?

I'm not sure understand your issue.

I tried runkeeper, apple native app and Nike app. This is the only app stand alone at the moment (in next months will release strava and ismoothrun).

All this type of app are not good (no deep data, no charts, ...) so I track my run with Nike and then upload data into rubitrack (or sport tracks.... strava or garmin if you prefer).

If you do this with Nike it works. Runkeeper doesn't works for this.

My issue is when I use my Nike run app on my phone my route will be shown and calculated today I ran without my phone with just my watch and my route wasn't shown. I was trying to see if there was a solution. I brought the Nike watch especially for working out but it's disheartens me if I won't be able to use all of the apps feature with the watch.

It can take a couple of minutes to load the map. Leave the Nike app open on your phone and allow it to sync with Nike, then it should show. If not, it's probably a problem with your settings. I'm using the Nike+ watch also, and after the initial teething problems that led me to this thread, everything works great. I love the watch, and it does everything I'd get by running with my phone.

Sorry - seems your statement is wrong! Have a look at my earlier post:

I start to think it is not possible and a limited feature to the Nike model... have a look here:

"After finishing a run, you will be able to view your route summary.

For a more detailed map of your GPS run, follow the directions in "Nike+ Run Club for iOS (Mobile)" or "My Activity" section on this page.

Note: Route summaries are only available for runs completed on the Apple Watch Nike+. The Nike+ Run Club for Apple Watch Series 2 and, Apple Watch must be connected to a mobile iOS device."
