Verizon iPhone 7 (Matt Black 128GB) Dropping Service

I have had the Verizon iPhone 7 for about 5 days now and my service, while I am driving continues to drop from LTE to 3G and then no service at all. Occasionally it comes back after a few minutes.... but typically I have to reboot my phone and the service is back with LTE.

Anyone else experiencing this issue? This did not happen on my 6 Plus with ios 10.

iPhone 7, iOS 10.0.2

I have the exact same problem. Sim was replaced and even had the phone replaced with no help to the issue.

(1) Go to Settings/Cellular/Cellular Data Options/Enable LTE and select DATA ONLY. That seems to solve the problem (as a temporary fix) for most people experiencing this issue. The bad part is your calls might not be as clear (since they can't use the higher data rate LTE signals) and you can't do calling and data at the same time. But it does solve the issue.

(2) There are rumors (but you did not hear this from me 😉 as we are not supposed to discuss Apple's Beta Software program in this forum) that the newest Apple Beta for iOS (which also includes an update of the Verizon Carrier software to 26.0) seems to solve this issue. So there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

iPhone 7 Silver 128gb on Verizon and I am having the same issue. Additionally, while connected to my vehicle via Bluetooth, and trying to place a call, the first call almost always fails. There is no audio to indicate it is even dialing. The second attempt always seems to work as expected.

I hope they come up with a solution soon.

I have a iPhone 7 128GB in silver with Verizon service. Exact same situation. I have to keep toggling airplane mode on and off to get LTE back but within a few minutes its back to 3G. It feels like the phone is pretty much running 3G until I toggle the airplane mode on/off then I get LTE for a few minutes.

Is this a power saving feature or something?
