Sep 27, 2016 9:53 AM in response to cinek2by deggie,Have you actually contacted AppleCare about this?

Sep 27, 2016 9:58 AM in response to deggieby cinek2,yup, multiple times got different replies ranging from will be fixed by a software update which seems unlikely as this is a hardware issue to first time I hear about it.
I only had the phone for a week so can still return it no questions asked but not sure if this is a wide spread issue. There are a lot of articles about this but no mention of a response from apple.
Don't mind getting a new phone as long as it doesn't come with this issue.
The other problem is actually getting my hands on another phone with the limited stock it's proving to be a challenge. I've been trying to reserve one for the last couple of days but nothing has come up.

Sep 27, 2016 1:09 PM in response to cinek2by Virtualex71,Hi cinek2!
Hi have the same issue. iPhone 7 Plus 128 GB, in Italy. Friends have too. I wrote to Apple Support on Twitter and they confirmed the issue is under Apple review. I also called Apple Care in Italy and made an appointment at the Apple Store next week. It's a serious issue. The noise (hiss of gain control probably) is almost the double respect the iPhone 6s Plus I still own. I made a test in the same environment and played both the videos on the iPhone 7 Plus. The difference is clearly audible. I tried also to restore the 7 + but with no changes.
Hope that Apple will fix that with iOS 10.1 because if it's not software, it's a mic gate!
Let's say that is shameful to have such an issue on a mobile phone which costs, in Italy, € 1049!
Hope to be useful.
Bye

Sep 28, 2016 2:28 AM in response to Virtualex71by User 8472,I'm having the same hissing, as well as calls cutting in and out, on a new 7. (not plus) Searching for answers here. Was at the local Apple Store two days ago, and they acted as if they hadn't heard of this problem. (I didn't believe them.)

Sep 28, 2016 4:02 AM in response to cinek2by JGift,I have the same issue with a new iPhone 7 Plus. No hissing from back, under stress or not. But when filming a video there is a non-stop hiss as if there's nearly freeway. There's a lot of talk here about it: http://forums.macrumors.com/threads/static-noise-when-recording-videos.1999038/
It seems to be a mic problem because the hissing stops when you use the icon the included headphones. Most people are exchanging their phones, with a great many (but not all), getting the same problem with the new phone. Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks.

Sep 28, 2016 11:57 AM in response to JGiftby cinek2,bought a new phone today - instead of replacing in case it had the same issue and it does indeed have the same issue. Noise wise I'd say it's fairly similar to my current one so will probably be returning the new phone ;/
