iOS 10 Bluetooth Skipping in Car

When I first started using iPhone (5S) back in 2013, the music would periodically skip when paired via Bluetooth with my UConnect 130 radio in my Jeep. Anywhere from every 30 seconds to every few minutes, but without fail. Any music would skip - whether locally stored on the phone and played via the music app, or streaming through a service such as Pandora.

I had spoke to the people at Jeep about this, and they told me the Apple engineers were aware of the issue (something about Bluetooth timings) and were working on a fix. I dealt with the problem, but eventually - after some iOS upgrade along the way (I don't remember which) - the skipping issue was resolved. I was so happy!

I recently upgraded to the 6S, and playback via Bluetooth in my car was fine - until I upgraded to iOS 10. Now, the dreaded skipping is back! 😟

Help! What can I do to fix this?

iPhone 6s, iOS 10.0.1

I previously had a 2014 Jeep with the 730n Uconnect radio. It had its issues but I never had any skipping problems. I have an iPhone 7 plus on iOS 10. Two days ago I purchased a 2017 Jeep with the 430n radio and Bluetooth skips just as you described - sometimes every 30 seconds, sometimes once per song. My point is maybe it's uconnect and not iOS?? I am also searching for a solution although my search has only lasted two days so far...

I Have the same issue Nissan Pathfinder Ti 2012 and it is frustrating me. Nissan service told me that it was a phone issue. Seriously how can Appple let this occur, common fix it please Apple. I have scoured the net for fixes and tried all the pairing, unpairing, resetting techniques and they did not work. I am going to try the network reset and will post if it works. Major pain to have to do this for something that really should not be a problem. When will Apple take this seriously and fix something so that it works like they advertise.

THe the only other solution I have is to replace the Bluetooth receiver in the car - if this is even possible??????

I have the same issue with my 7+. Have to reconnect multiple times in the car (Murano).....plays a couple of songs, then for no reason starts skipping. Might skip thru 1 or more songs then just start up again.....play for awhile...skipping again. Doesn't happen at home.....and had a buddy use his android in my car and it's fine. Narrowed down to the *!&**%$ phone.

I appreciate your help, especially since you're the only one bothering to respond. I tried all of these perviously.

1) Airplane mode disables bluetooth, so there will obviously be no music streaming via bluetooth with this option. I don't understand people that recommend trying this.

2) Tried this, no effect.

3) I could use USB or AUX, but the whole point of this is to use the functionality that I paid for when I purchased my phone and vehicle. It's nice to be able to take a call while driving and listening to music without having to fumble with the phone and risk an accident / getting pulled over. Plus not having the cables all over everything is nice as well.

4) This I suppose I could try. But then I will lose all of my WiFi information, which is a huge PITA to have to reconnect to everything.

Thanks for the help.
