iOS 10 Bluetooth Skipping in Car

When I first started using iPhone (5S) back in 2013, the music would periodically skip when paired via Bluetooth with my UConnect 130 radio in my Jeep. Anywhere from every 30 seconds to every few minutes, but without fail. Any music would skip - whether locally stored on the phone and played via the music app, or streaming through a service such as Pandora.

I had spoke to the people at Jeep about this, and they told me the Apple engineers were aware of the issue (something about Bluetooth timings) and were working on a fix. I dealt with the problem, but eventually - after some iOS upgrade along the way (I don't remember which) - the skipping issue was resolved. I was so happy!

I recently upgraded to the 6S, and playback via Bluetooth in my car was fine - until I upgraded to iOS 10. Now, the dreaded skipping is back! 😟

Help! What can I do to fix this?

iPhone 6s, iOS 10.0.1

I understand, and agree wholeheartedly that its frustrating. Just to clarify a few things, you can enable airplane mode and then re-enable Bluetooth. This way you can stream music that's downloaded to your phone while eliminating cellular signal. And for the USB option: I'm not sure what kind of stereo you have, so this may not work. I, however, am able to make and take calls over USB in my vehicle. No bluetooth necessary.
