Can any one type Vietnamese (Telex) on Mac Sierra?

I just updated to Mac Sierra and I realized that I can't type Vietnamese anymore. Even I added Vietnamese language into my keyboard, and chose it ( both VNI and Telex) but it doesn't work at all. I could typed Vietnamese normally with the previous OS though.

And how do I switch between languages on the keyboard by hitting Space and Command since the shortcut changes to Space Control and ^ in Mac Sierra though.

To find out which version of MacOS you are running, go to Apple > About this Mac. (iOS is only for iphones/ipads)

For webroot, tell us whether the circled item is checked or unchecked.

I already know that I have the latest IOS Sierra for Mac, 10.12.2. As for webroot mine looks like yours, unchecked.

Consider that my computer is new and I have not had time to make changes that could muck up the works. If you are having problems, restoring factory defaults and beginning from there may solve the issue.

Oh, Right, IOS is for phones, sorry about that. I am fairly literate about much of this stuff but no guru by any means.

Thanks! I don't have a problem myself, but have been trying to help several users who could not make Telex work back in October. One of them discovered that the solution was to disable that part of webroot.

Since you do not have a problem and have not disabled anything in webroot, I suspect that the Sierra updates since October may have removed the conflict between webroot and telex input, which is good news

As I mentioned I have a new IMac with OS Sierra and I need an external drive I can use to upload software for my laser printer that apparently must be loaded from my utilities disk for it to work right. anyway I should have one hand to install software to this unit. Any suggestions? I don't want to just buy something and have it not work.

Is your problem only on Terminal? Or all Apple apps like TextEdit, Mail, Safari, Notes, Pages?

I am experiencing this problem, when I swiched to Telex or any Cangjie input source, I cannot type any word, even with keyboard viewer. Anyone know how to fix this problem?

appreciate it Paul, the thing is the keyboard is disable when switch to the Vietnamese keyboard, it works normally with the U.S keyboard, that's the issue we are trying to solve over here.
