iPhone 7 screen scratches?

Has any one come across having very light scratches on the screen? I just got my phone 3 days ago and it has several light scratches.. i have no idea how.. I was very careful with it. Im surprise how sensitive this screen is.. idk if maybe its a defect on the coating of the screen. very disappointed in it.

BBattled with Verizon tooth and nail to receive a replacement. Never had an iPhone scratch like this, and I've owned every release of iPhone from 2G since 2007. This was after 4 weeks of babying the phone, which I've never done to previous phones. Towards the end, the glass started pocking and little holes were starting to form in the corners. The scratches ranged from large gouges to a multitude of fine line scratches, all over the screen. User uploaded file

Hi Apple

It's been a week I got my iPhone 7plus 128gb. For the first time in 4 years Using iphone product I got scratches on the screen. This is a really bad experience. I used 6plus for more than year. Screen never had a single scratch. Tell me how to remove them.

Apple is not here. If you want to discuss the problem with them, make an appointment at the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store. Or, use the Contact Support link at the top right of every page in these forums.

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED TO ME. I SPENT ALMOST A GRAND ON MY IPHONE 7 PLUS AND IN LESS THAN A WEEK IT IS SCRATCHED ALREADY! EVEN IF I DO GET A SCREEN REPLACEMENT, I DON'T WANT MY PHONE TO BE DISASSEMBLED AFTER ONE WEEK OF USE. I DON'T FEEL THE NEED TO GET IT REPLACED WHEN THE MATERIAL IS OBVIOUSLY GENERIC. OTHER PHONES WERE REPLACED WITH THE SAME PROBLEM SO I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THEY CAN'T DO THAT FOR ME.

For a replacement? No, I contacted apple within 3 weeks from when I bought it, one week overdue, however they sent me a replacement for free. It shouldn't have happened. I had only used it at home, awaiting a case, so they sympathized with me. I bought it online though in Sweden, where you have 2 weeks to return it from when it's received, if there are any problems with it. That might have helped.

Very unfortunate, it should never have happened, but Apple really came trough for me.

Got a Matte Black 7 Plus last December and Immediately slapped some screen protector on it. Everything is clean with no bubbles underneath the film usually caused by dirt. Was about to change the screen protector to a tempered glass when I noticed light scratches on the screen. Scratches are only visible at certain angles.

Any updates guy? Did you have yours checked?

Just got my iphone 7 3 days ago, has a case on it and I've not been out the house because I was poorly. I never place my phone face down, never rest anything on it and always look after it. After all, it is expensive. So today I have good lighting in my kitchen, when I was looking on my phone I noticed 4 hairline scratches on my screen. Like many others, I've had every iphone except the 6s and never, not once, have I had this problem. I always look after my belongings, religiously. I'll be taking it to the Apple Store for replacement hopefully.

You're not getting it. The first thing I did when got my phone was have the screen protected with a film in store. Never removed or touched until I visited the store to have the film changed into a tempered glass. I still have the old film with me and it's clean af. No scratches or blisters from hard use or anything. You getting me now? The only possible thing left is that those scratches were already there when I got the phone.

I got my taken care of. I too am OCD about my phone. I don't let the screen come in contact with anything and I had mine for about a week and it had a decent scratch on it then a few hairlines. I talked with Verizon(where my phone was purchased) and because it was in the time frame of a return/exchange I was sent a new one and returned my old one. It really bothered me it scratched so easily without doing anything to it yet my husband has no case puts it in his pocket and his is still pristine.

Refer to this page and all the posts with people who has similar problems, perhaps printing and handing all the pages of posts over for them? Maybe then they will be able to see the problem and help you more easily. Some people has been given replacements.

There's an issue, definitely, but I think that it so far hasn't been a reoccurring issue for all. Perhaps there has been batches of glass with different quality? As in bendgate, the problem was structural and for everyone. That was probably easier to notice.

Hello,

I bought my iPhone in France in November 2016 from Bouygues Telecom.

I have noticed for several days (January / February 2017) that my screen had:

- a "nice" scratch at the top of the screen,

- many micro-scratches.

My use is normal: the phone is usually in my pocket or on my desk.

After contacting the Apple support by chat, they send me a guy from UPS to make a diagnosis.

Do you think there is a serial problem?

I had different phones and I find it abnormal that the screen gets scratched after less than three months ... 😟
