iTunes will not load or install

Windows 10 Home updated on my PC last night. SInce then, I cannot open iTunes. I tried reinstalling, and I get this error message:

Module c:\program files\itunes\itunesadmin.dll failed to register. HRESULT -2147024703

I have followed the directions for the removal steps at least 6 times. I have tried to load a previous version of iTunes. Nothing is working.

"The module "C:|Program Files\iTunes\iTunesAdmin.dll: may not compatible with the version of Windows that you're running. Check if the module is compatible with an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of regsvr32.exe.

This what I get when I try to write to the admin command prompt.

ITunes will not open after a successful install. The following is what I get when I try to open ITunes,

"The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close application.

I receive the same error page ' Module C:\Program Files\iTunes\ItunesAdmin.dll failed to register HRESULT -2147024703. Contact your support personnel. ' if I hit ignore it says it has completed successfully. ITunes will still not start ' The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application ' if I hit abort it rolls back the repair but does not roll back the previous installation. I am so frustrated. I have over 50 movies I can not watch

I tried that approach first. I can not seem to find an old enough iTunes version that will install and work. It seems my windows 10 will not allow me to have windows after my refresh. I do have the win 10 free version and have the most recent updates but after a few serious clitches, I decided to refresh my system. WHAT A MISTAKE!! The refresh uninstalled over 40 apps including iTunes. I appreciate all you are trying to do to help me.

It seems odd that so much of it installs and then it baulks at one particular .dll in multiple versions of the installer. Have I mentioned temporarily disabling anti-virus and running the installer as the administrator? Have you tried the last of the "for older video cards" builds from the installers section in my user tip? Loath as I generally am to suggest it what about a registry cleaner such as CCleaner?

When I had this problem I purged my PC of everything Apple. Cleaned out the registry, did a search for everything Apple and went through all my program files on all my drives and deleted everything I found, eg Apple, iTunes etc. I uninstalled in the first place with an uninstaller program I bought which took out the registry entries but I did all the rest myself. It worked. Now iTunes is working as it should.
