I'm having the same issue. My notifications for Facebook stopped working last week on Friday the 20th. I get email and texts on my lock screen but not Facebook. I've turned off notifications and turned the back on. Rebooted the app, uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Checked my notifications in the app which are set to close friends and replies or tags. Turned do not disturb on and off. Rebooted my phone normally and a hard reset. Notifications work for a little bit after that then they still again. Badges on the icon are working but banners when my screen is unlocked do not nor do they show on my lock screen like they are supposed to

Same issue here. I have all notifications on in my settings, all notifications on in the Facebook app itself. Have reset my phone multiple times. Reset my phone. Deleted and reinstalled app multiple times. I've tried everything. Someone please help with this issue. The only notifications I am receiving are through the messenger app, but I am getting NOTHING from the Facebook app. No comments, tags, friend requests, event invites, etc. the only way I see them is if I go into the app and load my notifications manually. But no push notifications are working at all. Someone please help us out here.

Hi there everyone. I just managed to fix the trouble for myself for iPhone 7 plus. My "mail" notifications didn't seem to work. I was only able to check new emails when I manually click on the app. So after wide struggle I realised IOS 10.2 have no longer push notifications for "mails" . I checked the settings and managed to fix it somehow it does notify me couple of minutes later. This is how I did.

Before u carry on I would to tell u guys that notifications are classified now as "push" and "fetch. This new IOS seems to be very advance and I realised that only iCloud enables push notifications. Push notifications notifies us immediately and "FETCH" notifications is when new notifications are collected and sent into timeframe, example fetch new data is turned on for every 15 minutes. So every 15 minutes, these fetched new notifications such as emails they are notified every 15 minutes or earlier than that is possible too. I do get them before that timeframe. Seems apple is trying to save our battery life. Haha!

Okay here we go

- go to SETTING

- go to mail, contacts, calendar, notes . Click MAIL

- click ACCOUNTS

- click "FETCH NEW DATA" .

- "push" should be turned on

- at the bottom fetch should be "EVERY 15 MINUTES" (shouldn't be *manual)

Now test and have patience, I get my email in 2-3 minutes :)

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Pooja.

So I just chatted with Apple and it appears that the last IOS update caused this issue. I was told it wasn't their responsibility to make sure 3rd party apps work. I find this hard to swallow that a company such as Apple would release an update that isn't compatible with one of the most used apps on the market without fully testing it. Now they're pushing this off on Facebook to fix. Facebook customer service is terrible and all you can seem to do is send them a message and never get a reply. I still feel this falls on Apple for not fully testing a release and Apple should release a patch to correct what they broke. But that's just my opinion which doesn't go very far. Good luck everyone.

Alright guys, so I've noticed some changes in the past day. Before I wasn't getting ANY notifications, recently I've been getting banners from tagged photos/videos on Facebook, ONLY when on wifi connection. But that's it. Once I go into Fbook app, I have a dozen notifications besides the one notification I received. I have a feeling we aren't the only ones bringing this issue to Apple and Facebook's attention, I feel Facebook or Apple will fix this within a couple days or at least by end of week, Hopefully. It should be an easy fix for a multi-billion dollar company! Let me know of any updates anyone else may have, I will do the same.

I get those every now and then since this started. According to Apple this will take an update from Facebook to correct the issue as they're not responsible for third party apps so Apple is out of it. If everyone can please report this issue using their IPhone. You can go to Help and Support on your IPhone in the Facebook app and report the issue. Make sure you tell them it's on the IPhone 7 and you're not receiving notifications. I've been reporting it every day.

Is anyone going to help us? I'm having the same issues. Two days ago everything worked fine but now my Badge App Icon (the little number on the app) notifications won't show up. I've checked everything in phone settings & FB settings. It's the only app that's affected so far. I recently updated my Apple software... could that be why??

I am getting the same problem but when I open my email it doesn't load new mail. I know I have mail because I can see it on my kindle. I go to the notification settings and they are all turned on and I go back into my mail and it all loads but when I exit the app the number in the corner won't go away. There is currently a 7 in the corner of the app. I am still not getting notifications though.

I realized my issues started after a new FB update. The next week there was another update & everything went back to normal. Word of advice... if you had your notifications set up in a way you liked, DON'T go around changing everything while trying to solve the problem!! Once it's fixed, you'll regret it so much. I'm still trying to change it all back to normal & it's driving me nuts!
