iphone 7 speaker issue

Mine is doing the same. I'm on my second phone. The first one would only play from the bottom speaker if the phone was flipped up side down. Gave you taco neck attempting to watch anything on your phone. When headphones were plugged in only the right side of the headphones would play, and only the right speakers in my car when the phone was plugged in. Swapped the phone out for another one today and its sounds as if the speaker in the earpeice is blown. Loud sound as if I have it turned up far too loud. Just sounds really awful without headphones.

Hi! I'm experiencing somewhat the same. On the other end, during facetime and phone calls, the other person that I am speaking with hears static sounds, sounds that seems like the speaker is infront of the fan. I already did the hard reset thingy, as per rep of ios thru chat. What to do now? I just bought this iphone7 plus january 16.

I went to the Apple Store and they ran diagnostics on my phone and said it checked out fine. They said it was a network issue and changed out my SIM card. That did nothing. I finally traded the phone out for a new one. This one seems to be doing better. I would recommend you take yours to the Apple Store and start the process of getting it changed out for a new one.

Getting bad crackling when playing back audio. Going to have to make an appointment at a store. I use wireless headphones so hadn't really noticed this as don't use speaker very often. Not good Apple! I'm on the iPhone Upgrade Program so have Apple Care but still a pain to have to get it swapped. Waited quite a while to get the jet black in the first place!

Me too! I generally use my wireless earbuds. However, today I noticed it when I turned off my Bluetooth Canz Speaker and the volume was very low too!! I can hear the growling, crackling noise over top of it! I just purchased 7plus 256 GB on 2/5/17, not even 30 days yet... what the heck? Anyone able to solve the problem? *******

Today I received my third iPhone 7 plus, cmon apple no solution just replace the phones?? This for sure is a hidden flaw in those models and nobody will do a service call cause the costs will be huge.

I literally bought my iPhone 7 plus less than a month ago and every time I get on FaceTime it crackles and pops plus the screen glitches green sometimes. Kinda upset that I paid in full for this phone and it's screwing up already. Has this issue been resolved yet? Also, the audio doesn't even work when I plug my phone into my car too.

I just bought my iphone 7 Oct 26th and static on speakerphone calls . Ugh. Bought at Verizon . It seems to be a common issue in the 7s... not a software issue? I am going back to the store this weekend to replace. Really ******* me off.

Yes, I’m having that issue. And furthermore, I have it as I’m speaking into the mic with FaceTime. Apple sent out and update shortly after I purchased my iPhone 7 that was supposed to fix the exact problem that IPhone 8 users were experiencing. However, after downloading “the fix” it did nothing for my 7. My wife purchased her iPhone 7 at the same time I got mine and experiences the same problem. Seems Apple doesn’t care to fix it. My 7 is new. I’m not falling for buying an 8 to get rid of it. I’m just using a 3rd party video app instead. After seeing what kind of shenanigans they’re willing to pull, this just might be my last iOS phone anyway.

I havent tried Facetime yet on my iphone7 plus, but the received audio while on the phone has the crackles and pops. It is not the speaker - using Carplay sounds the same.

Same issue here. Did you find a resolution. Its just with FaceTime for me.

I have this same issue as well. When I'm using the speaker phone or if a facetime call comes in there is a loud crackling/popping sound. I've made an appointment with Apple to take a look at it. Did you ever get your issue resolved?

My Speaker phone seemed to be fine, I haven't tried FaceTime yet, but I sleep with music on VEERRY quiet music and my volume was only turned up like 2 clicks and I could hear my speaker crackling. For a brand new phone I just paid close to 1,000$ for this shouldn't be happening

I have the same issue with distorted sound while using FaceTime on my iPhone 7.. did you find a resolution yet? My phone is just 4 days old and I am thinking of taking it back
