How do I get rid of the widgets screen?

Since upgrading to iOS 10, a widget screen shows up when I start my phone. How do I get rid of that so my passcode/touch ID screen shows up when I turn on the phone?

it makes more work. it's like having a real desk with with duplicate contents on the surface. It looks cheap. It's rude of Apple to not give users a choice.
