At the bottom of each voicemail transcription there's and option to click "helpful" or "not helpful", which opens a box to submit the transcribed conversation to Apple, "to be used to improve the quality of speech recognition in Apple products". Looks like Apple is wanting to expand and/or improve their "speech recognition" capabilities....maybe for SIRI, and using automatic voicemail transcription to do that?

You can provide feedback to Apple to let them know you would like to turn it off, or make it optional, or whatever you wish to do by going to their feedback site here, http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html They do not participate here in the forum, so they would not see your original post.

To be honest, I, like sberman, like the feature, so I don't have to listen to the voicemail right away, and can determine if it is something I need to address right away. This is especially convenient at work.

Yes it is nice to see what the voicemail might be about. However, on my phone I have to hit play a few times. When I hit the play arrow it closes the message. Then I have to click on the message again to re-open it. I click on the arrow and the message closes again. Very frustrating. I've actually just said screw it and called the person back!
