not getting reminder notifications with ios10

no need for me to rehash the symptoms, the descriptions within this post is exactly the problem I'm having.

Intermittently, I have been able to temporarily fix the problem (restore the audible reminder + visible Alert notification that remains visible until I clear it) with a restart. Intermittently. As in, it doesn't always fix with a restart. Yet as it starts up, it (not so) helpfully sounds the unique audio I have set up for notifications that I've missed, but still doesn't give me a visible Alert to clear.

I have also adjusted the !!! priority on reminders to see if that fixes it (I've read other threads indicating that may fix it. It does not, for me)

It bears mentioning that I do have the Prefs for Notifications setup properly.

BTW, doing a hard reset is not an option. I really don't need to be spending my time reconfiguring my phone after the reset.

When will Apple release an update that completely & permanently solves this ongoing issue? Until then, they should call it as it is: Reminders will not work after ios 10 upgrade.

I fixed it!

It turns out if you have installed the stand-alone Outlook app, it keeps Notifications from working.

I just deleted the Outlook app & it worked. No matter to me, I prefer the iOS Mail app for my O365/Exchange account.

I didn't test this as another option to fix, but if you're wedded to the Outlook app, I wonder if perhaps you turned off Reminders in your Exchange account if that would solve the problem (Settings/Reminders/Accounts/Exchange: slide Reminders to Off.)

Having the same issue - I get nothing to remind me that a reminder was even set. I can no longer rely on Reminders to make sure I don't forget something important. As a result, this feature is absolutely useless after iOS 10. C'mon Apple, fix this.

I don't have outlook on my phone, and I'm not getting notifications either

I second that this is also happening with 12.2.2 in addition to 10.2.

It is intermittent and so far I can't find a pattern.

I don't get any reminder notifications at all, I can't share reminder group to anyone and nobody can share reminders with me! :-(

Same problem. Can't rely on reminders at all as a result. Very important for Apple to fix quickly, please! User-reported fixes to date are not working for me. I'm on iOS 10.2 and iPhone 6.

I am having the same issue!!! Entered the reminders in and wanted them to go off once I arrived at work. As soon as I set a locstion or even time the reminder turns itself off.

Has anyone thoroughly tested iOS 10.3 or 10.3.1 and can tell us FOR SURE that reminders have been fixed?

If so, please share your experience.

A previous member said that he tested within 48hours with hourly reminders and saw that the problem is NOT fixed.

Can you please tell us on what basis do you say that the problem is fixed?

Well, I have done the update and now, since a few days, I receive the notifications. Nothing more than that. But I can tell you how long it will last.
