Sending photos/images to non Apple phones.

Hi there,

This has been bugging me for ages now. I am not sure whether it is just me or a setting on my phone. I have had numerous iPhones over the last few years and it always the same.

During the day and night when at work or at home, my phone is connected to WIFI and I switch off the MOBILE DATA to save data.

I have found that I cannot send picture messages or images to Android phones (non Apple phones ie Normal Text Message not iMessage) if I have WIFI only. I have to TURN OFF wifi and switch on my MOBILE DATA and then the picture/image will go through. But with iPhones, iMessages go through on WIFI only.

Why is this? I find it so frustrating as I have many contacts not using an iPhone and not using Whatsapp or other chat apps that is easier to send videos and images to.

Can anyone help? Many thanks.
