No place to enter verification code in iCloud

Hi. Reset my Apple ID password via iphone after someone overseas apparently tried to use it. Now I'm logging in on my Mac. I can enter the new password and receive the verification code on my phone, but there's no place to enter it in iCloud. It says "An Apple ID verification code is required. Type your password followed by the verification code shown on your other devices." But there's nowhere to enter the code.

So stupid! What do I do?

I FIGURED IT OUT!

"Type your password followed by the verification code shown on your other devices." Is the message you see. We insert it at the end of your password! ok duh we get this after a quick google. The answer to the question you are asking is this:

Exit the icloud preferences by clicking the go back Arrow (top left corner of pref. window), it will take you to System Preferences main menu, and then click the right arrow to go back into the icloud preference.

You now should have the ENTER PASSWORD field again instead of just the stupid message with no where to type.

Now,

Visit https://appleid.apple.com/ and sign in. You will receive a verification code on your secondary device.

Go back to icloud preferences and now insert your password followed by the verification code with no space in-between the two.

SO funny how people don't understand the question we are asking. You clearly said, there is no where to type and the guy tells you to type lol.

Having the same issue with a 2011 macbook pro I was trying to get cleaned off and with a new clean install of Mac OS Lion (since that's the latest OS it will handle). All has gone well until it asked for my icloud username & password and then it sends the 2-factor authenticate password to my other devices but there is NO place to type that code in on this macbook I'm trying to get going.

I've tried the password+verification code and that doesn't work. Any other ideas out there before I have to call Apple and spend an hour on the phone with them trying to help me figure it out?

I have just had this really frustrating problem signing into a new (to me) iPad's app store. You need to go to the settings on the device that is primary, in my case, my iPhone and there will be an option to Update Apple ID Settings. From there you need to approve the new device and then when you try and sign in on the new device you'll need to put in your password and the verification code as others have stated.

For those of you who are desperate, try the back/forward arrow approach + the verification code tacked on the end of your normal password. Big thanks to the community for helping. Apple, please do better. This whole thing was super painful and made exponentially worse by having an "enter apple password" box (that I couldn't do anything about!) flash up constantly over the past month every time I did anything on my computer.
