BootCamp fails to start after upgrade to MacOS Sierra 10.12.1

After upgrading my MacBook (Retina 12-Inch, Early 2015) to the newest version of MacOS Sierra 10.12.1, my Windows 10 Bootcamp won't boot and throws off an ACPI.SYS error. Since the keyboard and mouse does not work in Recovery Mode, I plugged in a keyboard. I did a "Reset Files" and nothing. Before I wipe out my BootCamp partition and start over I wonder if anyone else encountered this problem after updating from MacOS Sierra 10.12.0...

I think it's a problem of bluetooth driver.

My 2015-early new macbook had had same issue(acpi.sys error), and I tried to reinstall the boot camp partition. But the problem not solved. It failed when I installed boot camp driver(broadcom bluetooth).

So, I installed boot camp driver after deleting bluetooth driver in the setup image. It worked. but I can't use bluetooth devices.

You can try the WidComm stack (https://www.broadcom.com/support/bluetooth) , which is a generic BT stack. Do not download it from anywhere else, because there are many unauthorized and suspicious variants floating around at different web sites. Create a Windows System Restore point, before you install anything on your Mac. If possible, backup OS X using Time Machine (or any other tool of your choice).

Thanks speakElvish,

Nice to know you've tested beta 3, but sad to know still not fix the problem.

Back to few weeks ago, I reported that my 2015MB12 was failed Bootcamp but my 2016MB12 was running fine. However, since last weekend, I found my 2016MB12 also has no Bluetooth which disabled. It is strange that the Bluetooth is back in these 2 days.

The Sierra 10.12.1 is buggy on both 2015 & 2016 of Macbook 12" Retina.

Hi erniemarh,

DO NOT try to repair your Bootcamp Windows. Best to backup your notes files at first. It is because in case the repair may crash the Windows then you may lost all the files in the worst case.

Since MacOS can read Bootcamp partition, you should load macOS as normal. Then open Bootcamp drive and go to all the folders which contain your files, backup all the files into your macOS or attach an USB flash for backup those files.

If you still can't fix your Bootcamp Windows, you still can borrow your friends' Windows or the PC in your college to continue your study.

Cheers

Agreed, this is pretty bad on Apple.

I have been able to get Windows 10 working just fine by skipping the Broadcom installation step when installing the bootcamp drivers. I have however run into the problem of not having any bluetooth while in Windows 10. I have not found a driver or way to install one that give me that functionality.

This is my first Mac product. So far while in Sierra I like it and the MacBook has crazy good battery life, the trackpad is the best I have ever used, and the keyboard is fine once you get used to it. But this lack of Windows support is a HUGE bummer. I mean, the W10 Anniversary edition has been out for a while several months now.....
