Unknown error 8392

MacBook Air running Sierra 10.12.1, iTunes 12.5.3.17

Open Apps/ Updates

I try to update an individual App and it fails immediately with "Unknown error 8392"

I attempt a couple more times and it updates!

This was the case on the previous level of iTunes as well.

MacBook Air (11-inch Late 2010), macOS Sierra (10.12.1)

I'm starting to think my problem is indeed slightly different...

Once I hit "Update all apps", nothing happens for a good 2-3 minutes, then I got the message:

"There was a temporary problem completing your request. The network connection timed out.

Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is alive, then try again."

And then some, but not all of the apps start downloading. Once those are finished, if I press "Update all apps" again, the remaining ones start downloading immediately...

No mention of error 8392 at all, but something is still not happy on my end!

My WiFi connection is otherwise working fine on everything else... Strange!

This has been going on for over two months - I can't get the updates to load from my phone via wifi nor on my Windows7 desktop. I Apple has known about site problems for months. Not only do they not fix it, they pretend like its not a problem.... you pay several hundred $ for a iphone 7 plus, and you can't do something as simple as update apps?... Could it be the Russian? The North Koreans? The Chinese? Donald Trump? Or could it be the Dutch?

Same problem, been going on for weeks. It isn't just on a Mac, either - often my iPad and iPhone will just refuse to download an update, though no error is given - just have to keep trying. The only "solution" I have found is to simply keep hitting the download button on an app until it eventually will start to download. Stupidly on Apple's part, if you hit 'Update All' button, it will stop after the first error - it wont then move on and try with the next app in line.

Really...Apple is hurting right now. I never think 'it just works' anymore - I always expect Apple software products to fail, or be buggy now. Really sad.

Just had an update on my Mac. It took about 15 presses on update to get it to work.

Just hand an iTunes update - about 30 apps. The update failed about 60 times on the apps overall.

Just had an update on my iPad - about 10 apps. Had to press the update all button about 5 times to get it to complete on all apps.

It's been like this for me for about 8 months. Reported a dozen times to Apple via feedback. Nothing happens.

For the first time in my life I am considering switching sides.

LOL I already have. I share my time on Windows 10 and Mac now, after a lifetime of Mac use.

Last three days my updates have worked well as they did this time last month, and tonight I go to update and I can't do it anymore. So I give up. Can't be bothered. Ill keep watching this thread for a solution that someone might have but honestly I dont think that Apple really care. Its a pretty major issue, and they are just not taking it seriously. I know they read this as they have taken a few of my "non constructive"comments down. Apple if you are truly listening... FIX THIS ISSUE... it has gone on long enough! It is with YOUR end not ours!

Update on my previous post: I totally agree. This has been going on too long. I have been able to get along by clicking "update" on each individual app about 5 times. Yesterday and today it is 20+ times (on each individual app) to get an update started. Fortunately I have a few days before I return my new MBP TB. Seriously considering it after 30 years w/mac. Apple is wasting too much of my time.
