gmail setup in Mail

There was a questionable log on to my gmail account. It was offline. I went to the gmail site and changed my password. I went to Internet accounts and entered my new password.

On the account preference in Mail 10.1 there is no place to edit incoming mail server.

In the Server setting Tab it says Outgoing Server "none".

In Edit SMTP server I can chose Gmail but it says (offline) and when I close the drop down it goes back to none.

I tried to set up a new gmail account and it says account already exists

if you have 4 digit I cloud verification code , iCloud id , Apple ID , web mail id , and their correct passwords and your registered mobile in your hand , one can go to user library , delete contents of keychain folder into trash , restart & empty the trash .

To , be very honest I have applied the method in my system many times , as I was having 4 digit I cloud verification security code that is fixed /constant for an user and I was able to login in web mail , I cloud web mail , if you permit me I will remove all contents of keychain in my machine once again and write down exactly the all upcoming steps on white sheet and post here , it will take time but will definitely provide it .
