Calendar: Remove old invitee addresses

My wife recently got a new business email address. I've removed all instances of her old address (I get nothing when I search my iMac, iPad, or iPhone), but it still appears as an option when I invite her to events. Unfortunately the old address is very similar to her new one and I have occasionally sent the event request to the wrong place. Is there any way I can permanently delete the old email address?

This is only an issue within Calendar, none of the other applications (Mail, Messages, FaceTime) are a problem.

Thanks in advance!

David

Thanks for your response, I appreciate it.

However, when my wife got her new email address, I simply updated her existing entry in Contacts, replacing the old address. Repeated searches of my iMac return no reference to her old address. If I send an invitation to my wife from my iPad or iPhone the old address does not appear as an option, only when I do it from my iMac.

(I know, I should just send invitations from my iPad/iPhone, but I want to understand what's going on!)

All of this suggests that her old address is still hiding somewhere in my iMac, or possibly my iCloud account - I just can't find it!

Any thoughts?
