Calendar: Remove old invitee addresses

My wife recently got a new business email address. I've removed all instances of her old address (I get nothing when I search my iMac, iPad, or iPhone), but it still appears as an option when I invite her to events. Unfortunately the old address is very similar to her new one and I have occasionally sent the event request to the wrong place. Is there any way I can permanently delete the old email address?

This is only an issue within Calendar, none of the other applications (Mail, Messages, FaceTime) are a problem.

Thanks in advance!

Hey, not sure if this has been solved since its an old post. I was having the same problem on my iphone, an old email address that my wife used at one point kept coming up as a suggestion for an invite. The problem only presented itself when inviting from my iphone, if I used my macbook pro, the email address did not show up.

I was able to remove the email address from the suggested invitees by opening the calendar app, clicking on the "Calendars" link in red at the bottom. Once in there I unchecked all the selections that add things to my calendar. Like Gmail, Work, Calendar, Home, Family, Facebook Events, etc...

I then went to create a new event, the old email address no longer came up as a suggestion. I went back and rechecked all the boxes that were previously checked and my calendar was repopulated with all the expected events, but that old email address is no longer a suggestion for newly created events.

Hope this helps.

Erik
