Keyboard upside down on iPAD

When I search for something from on my ipad, the keyboard is flipped.

Step to reproduce:

swipe left to go on the main screen
(alternatively, swipe down on the main screen)
tap on search

This is happening on my iPad since the ios10 update.

Is there a bug to track this?

Hold down the keyboard button in the bottom right. Select 'undock', then select it again and click 'dock'.

If that doesn't work try split.

Was hoping it would be resolved with 10.3.3 but no dice. Still have it, occurs unpredictably.
