Wifi dropping in 2016 15" MacBook Pro when USB 3 device plugged in

Hi all,

I'm having an issue that when I plug a Lexar CFR1 Compact Flash card reader into my new 2016 15" MacBook Pro via a USB-B to USB-C cable the Wifi suddenly grounds to halt. The minute that I unplug the card reader the Wifi immediately goes back to normal use. Anyone have any idea whats going on here? Do we need some type of shielded USB-C cable to work on these machines?

Maybe apple should introduce a beta phase before releasing major OS upgrades.

Hey, I'm having the exact same problem. Only works on the right side ports. Have you managed to solve it ?

I have the same problem. I bought MacBook pro 15 touch bar 2017 one week ago in Japan. The expensive gadget but the quality is questioned. So disappointed...

Can't believe this is still an issue...

SanDisk usb-C SD card reader with MBP touchbar 13 knocks out wifi using any of the 4 ports.
