Mac Mail no longer connects to Hotmail Account

My Mac Mail (as of today) no longer connects to my Hotmail Account. Keep getting prompted to enter the password. When I do, I receive a message saying "Unable to verify account name or password".

I am able to access my Hotmail account via my iPhone as well as via the web browser on my Mac.

Two factor authentication is switch off on my mail account.

Any thoughts?

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch,Early 2015), OS X El Capitan (10.11.4)

ok i fixed my problem!!

i went to Hotmail.com (my email is an Msn.com)

-Setting-> Option

on the left part of the screen

Account-> Pop and IMAP

Go to Pop options-> Allow devices and app to use POP-> select Yes

and Save it.

now go to Mail and switch your account online and everything should be fine.
