Sorry, there is no version of Explorer available for Sierra.
Windows programs don't run on Macs.
Not natively. But as it's been highlighted in the discussion, there are ways to make them run in emulation.
If you have the patience (you should add)

I'm wondering if the forum software hid from you all the responses about various ways one can use IE on a Mac....
All of which are of no interest to me, this is a problem for the Greek Ministry of Information to fix, emulated Windows is dreadful in use (spoken as a very longterm user of VBox and Fusion). I do not have the patience required for the long wait times, it would be quicker to go and buy a Windows PC if I had to have Windows. And IE has always been and still is an awful browser. Windows on a Mac is like the talking horse, interesting in that it works, but not actually any good.
Csound, the opinion Eric gave to me solved my problem.
In fact, as you mentioned, is the fault of Information's department of Greek Ministry. They sould use a 'more open' browser such a Firefox (or any other like this).
I fully agree that the Greek Ministry's website uses very outdated methods. But it's much easier to install vBox and a Virtual Machine than to get a government agency to change its ways. 😉
A community member had a problem and other members found a way for him to solve that problem for free. I think that's a good use of the forum. And other members in the same situation will be able to search and find the solution.
Out of curiosity, which method worked for you? Spoofing the user agent or installing a virtual machine?
Eric, at the moment, spoofing the User Agent looks like is ok for me.
After some day, I will try to isntall the virtual machine.
You are right. It is really a good use of the forum.
