Internet Explorer under MacOS SIERRA

Unfortunatelly, the Information System of Greek ministry for Development is running only under Internet Explorer

How can i download Internet explorer 11 to my MacBook Pro? (OS is Sierra)

Sorry, there is no version of Explorer available for Sierra.

All of which are of no interest to me, this is a problem for the Greek Ministry of Information to fix, emulated Windows is dreadful in use (spoken as a very longterm user of VBox and Fusion). I do not have the patience required for the long wait times, it would be quicker to go and buy a Windows PC if I had to have Windows. And IE has always been and still is an awful browser. Windows on a Mac is like the talking horse, interesting in that it works, but not actually any good.

I fully agree that the Greek Ministry's website uses very outdated methods. But it's much easier to install vBox and a Virtual Machine than to get a government agency to change its ways. 😉


A community member had a problem and other members found a way for him to solve that problem for free. I think that's a good use of the forum. And other members in the same situation will be able to search and find the solution.
