No devices beside the USB-C Power adapter where installed. I didn't restore from my last MacBook Pro: it's a brand new installation.

Ideas?

I'm waiting for my replacement but not sure if every issue will be solved.

Can anyone with the apple USB-C to USB adapter AND an external USB Disk can try to do a time machine backup?

I can reproduce a panic while doing a time machine backup via USB. that disk worked fine with my old MacBook Pro.

Really disappointed about the software quality of the new apple devices.

Hi,

Just wanted to add another data point — I found this thread by googling the same panic output

Failed to quiesce supporting devices\n"@/BuildRoot/Library/Caches/com.apple.xbs/Sources/AppleACPIPlatform/AppleACPIPlatform-254.20.3/AppleACPIPlatformPower.cpp:1972

This is on a brand new 2016 Touch Bar MBP 15". Nothing connected and had been using it as a new Mac. Assuming faulty hardware but I had been planning on returning it anyways.
