How do I block spam calendar invitation emails?

I started receiving notifications with a sound @ 3.30 am inside CAL app to my apple id email address from 1069020164188210228759375@8****56.tk asking me if I want to buy counterfeit Rayban sunglasses for $19.99! Clearly this is spam and it rings my Mac, phone & ipad how can Apple allow this through? If I click on it there is not block selection just an opportunity to add this low life scum to my contacts, share my location with them or message them. As if I would want to do that! This is outrageous.

I see that someone previously asked a similar question and the posted answer that was incorrectly marked "solved" was as below:

These emails are not from Apple. Use Identifying fraudulent "phishing" email - Apple Support to help you identify and report phishing.

If your ISP offers blacklisting you can blacklist that address. You can also use the Junk mail feature of Mail to reduce those emails from showing up in your inbox.

Please do not answer such rubbish the CAL app needs to give us a junk or block selection on these things it's not up to us to identify where it's coming from and also it's NOT in the mail app it's in the CAL app!

I am running OS X 10.12.2 and iOS 10.0.2

I opened up an Apple chat/support, about this situation, and for the moment they're supposed to get back to me, to do some stuff, from my computer and their servers sometime tomorrow. I can live with that. (not touching any links 😀)

We'll see, but I've had very good luck with them before.

I did mention others have had this problem for awhile. In any case if what they do is simple and it works for me, I'll add it to this forum. 🙂

PS: I also took screen shots to make it much easier to describe and send.

After following the directintion in the link that William Lloyd provided here's a way you and ignore the spam and never reply nor do anything about it.

Create a new iCloud calendar titled Spam on your Mac. Online at iCloud.com set all invites and alerts to go to the Spam calendar.

On your Mac and mobile devices just disable the Spam calendar so it doesn't show.

Then just ignore the Spam calendar. You can occasionally click on it to see if there's a lot of spam invites. If there is you can delete the calendar and then add a new Spam calendar back in iCloud. Be sure to go to the Calendar's Advanced preference at iCloud.com to make sure the new Spam calendar is set to receive the invites and events.

However, if you get a lot of invites and events then this would not be an acceptable method for you.

I don't get invites nor alerts (except for the spam) so hiding it and occasionally deleting and adding a new, empty Spam calendar back won't inconvenience me.

I never received a response back, which would have been Sat'. The techie sounded like she had never heard of it, yet it is all over the place.

Apple seems very quick on telling us via e-mail of new products, and they should have done the same telling people what was going on not to hit Decline or whatever, and that they were working on it.

I find it very disappointing.

And yes, in my mind, it is a viral hack. Unwanted, not allowed and not placed there by me.
