Why do you think it will be deleted? You haven't violated the Terms of Service.

First of all, there is no monolithic "Apple". There are hundreds of thousands of people who work for Apple, distributed among hundreds of departments and thousands of work teams. One of those teams is ASC hosts. Their one and only job is keeping order. They aren't engineers and they have no authority in any other department. They don't have the authority to contact you on any subject other than your compliance with the forum rules. Which they have already done.

Second, no, no one from Apple is reading posts UNLESS another user at level 2 (a rather low bar, requiring only 150 points) reports your post because it may be in violation of TOU. Then a host will read your post, and, if the host agrees, they will delete your post.

Third, there are ways to request to be contacted by Apple and to contact Apple. They can all be found in the "Contact us" link at the bottom of every page. However, you will notice that posting in ASC is not one of the ways to have Apple contact you.

Same problem on iPhone 6s. Have been very happy with my battery but as of late, it has been dying quickly.? Like today, I have hardly used anything and it went from 100% at about 9:30 am to 38% now at 1:55 pm.

I down loaded the latest 10.2.1 and my battery is draining fast. I can sit here and watch the percent drop fast. I have never had a problem like this before. Today I brought my battery charger with me and will not stress out while hoping this problem will get resolved. Yes I have done the battery save protocol.

After installing iOS 10.2.1 on my iPhone 6 the battery life degraded to half of previous performance. Non of the usual app or setting changes or reboot helped. I allowed my iPhone 6 to drain the battery to shutdown. The recharge to 100% took 4 hours but the battery life returned to normal.

I called apple several times. Last time they put on the phone someone more important. His solution was "stay updated". What a joke. This is useless phone now. I go overnight from 100 to 50%. Tried low power mode, flight mode, restore as new, do not install any apps. Nothing works. I'll give them last chance in 10.3 update. If nothing changes I will go back to android.

Finch... who are you to tell me what my phone is or is not doing? Are you sitting here with me as it dies 5-10 times a day sometimes with 85 percent battery? Are you here with me when I literally watch the percentage drop 1 percent a minute? Do you know when this all started? The very moment I completed the IOS 10 update. I went from never having a battery issue to this immediately. So you can sit here and post about it being non-issue. But you are wrong! Factory reset as instructed by Apple reps did nothing... taking it to Apple Store they did nothing... they just shrugged their shoulders and said their is nothing they can do. Apple will lose many customers. Deny deny deny from Apple.. they will regret it.

Well I had one of those iPhone 5s that died after about 10 min. of use, but of course because my serial number didn't fall within a very tight range I was ineligible for a replacement phone. It was Rogers that allowed me to upgrade without a penalty since my phone was absolutely useless. So to say that it is a non-issue is misleading since it is, even though it may not be for you. If it's not the OS then it's hardware. To have owned two phones that have shown battery issues consecutively in about 2 years time suggests that there may be issues with the quality of batteries being used. I don't expect to have limitless use of any phone, but do expect to not have charge dissipate so quickly due to a 5 min. phone call, or from having sent a series of text messages. It does seem suspect that this issue came to light with the advent of OS 10, and has only gotten worse, especially for those of us with the 6. If it's a known issue that a new OS has the potential to have a negative impact on the functionality of a phone, then at least let the customer know that there is a potential to negatively impact battery life if you want all the latest bells and whistles with the newest OS.

My wife has a 5s, my friend 6, my colleague 5, and they all have a issue with random power off and fast battery drain.

Is it random??? The issue is in IOS or in our phone but in this case the issue was generate by IOS !!!

whatever. apple told us to keep phone updated. what does it mean? they know about this issue. if not i want to replace my phone or get money back. they should respect customer or stop doing business.

These are the steps I've followed so far and nothing has changed.

The phone was reset via settings: No improvement.

The phone was reset via iTunes: No improvement.

I have installed a new battery: No improvement.

This is clearly a software issue and because of the way I've been fobbed off, I'll be looking for an alternative platform because why pay Apple so much money when you can get the same apps and some cool hardware cheaper elsewhere. Android has its flaws too of course, but it will be a significantly less dent in my pocket. If there's no update in the next 2 weeks I'm getting rid and moving on.

For those still having issues with their iPhone's battery, here are two options.

1. Call Apple Tech Support at 800-275-2273. (They can run a battery diagnostic on your phone, remotely.)

2. Visit nearest Apple Store. (I found walking in more time-efficient than making a reservation.)

I guess we all did. Me personally at least 5 times. also talked with someone from top positions. Their advice is "keep your phone updated". As I said, they don't care. Time to move back to my old Sony.

Wanna share my experience with you guys. So, my phone seems to work right (usage: 6hrs, standby: 25hrs and still got 50%), but every time it gets lower 45-50% the battery starts to drain. I mean my usage time and stanby are increasing as 1:1 and no app is open. Already did a factory restore, reset network settings, backed up from dfu mode. Using a iPhone 7, iOS 10.2.1.

Same here iPhone 6s battery draining ridiculously fast after iOS 10.2.1 trying to DFU restore didn't work neither did the beta iOS 10.3.

Battery already replaced by Apple under the recall for the iPhone 6s affected serial numbers. Any ideas? Suddenly died approximately 40% and then Restarts
