Ios 10.2 draining battery FAST!

I installed IOS 10.2 on 12/12/16. Phone was 100% charged at 7:00 pm; at 4:00 am on 12/13/16 the battery was completely discharged.

What changed in IOS 10.2 to affect battery usage like this?

iPhone SE, iOS 10.2

It's not as simple as "fast battery drain" or apps running in the background that are draining the battery. This is a code issue somewhere. My phone isn't draining the battery in an unusual way, I'm seeing abnormal battery drain till the mid 50% area and then a sudden drop to the teens immediately. It's not a rapid progression like something is draining the better, it's littlerally a sudden and immediate drop from 55% to a "low battery" warning. I have seriously watched the screen multiple times and seen this happen while I'm watching it. Nothing I can do in settings is going to solve this problem. I've changed nothing on my phone or how the apps behave other than updating the OS. This issue did not exist prior to the iOS 10 series updates. It's a code issue.

From what the people told me at the Apple Store it more of a app not liking the new update and just running in the backround and draining the battery and the phone cannot figure out what app it is, so they wiped both phone I brought in using iTunes on a laptop and having me just sign in iTunes and redone loading all my apps and photos individually and not recovering the cloud save I had on the phone. I also went over a friends who had the same problem and perform the same thing and his phone has not had a issue since

Sadly no company ever Admits there product is broken but for them not to talk about it or release a fix for it shows me they are having a hard time fixing the problem. And if that not helping you I'm sorry if you can why don't stop by a Apple Store if there one close too you I sadly had to drive 30 mins for the closet one to me. Also make a appointment online if you can will save the headache of waiting around a few hrs waiting for a wall up call like I have done before

Hi everyone,

I did have exactly the same problem. I don't know if it started directly after the upgrade to 10.2, but a few days ago my phone started to drain the battery fast. I couldn't figure out what was differet from before. I didn't do anything different and it's the same hardware.

Then yesterday I found a solution. Turn off Siri!

After I've done that, the phone works as before. Hardly any battery consumption at all. Did a charge last evening and I still got 94% battery left after almost 15 hours.

So my advise. Turn off Siri if you don't absolutely need her.

I just tried it and it didn't work for me. I was at 100%, turned off Siri while still at 100%, and 20 minutes later I'm at 81%. That's FAST drain. I should note I still have all perceived battery drain features off and I have an iPhone 6. Nothing seems to help. This is dangerous, for Apple to make us depend on her iPhone for everything and then we can't be without a wallplug for more than an hour. I've been stranded three times already well doing errands unable to call Uber, use Apple wallet, use a map, reference a website or yelp, you name it I'm completely dependent on the phone that doesn't allow me to be away from a plug.
