iPad Air 2 iOS 10.2 screen rotation bug

Bought the Air 2 almost 3 weeks ago and installed some apps. Upgraded to iOS 10.2 when it came out and now my iPad is very frequently running into a screen rotation bug in the software. The screen gets stuck on landscape mode and the only way to fix it is to restart the device. The orientation lock in the Control Center is disabled. It's okay if it happens once in a while but it's happening almost everyday now. Can someone please confirm this as a known issue with the latest iOS on this device and if there is a fix? Thank you.

I have this issue. Just discovered it, as I have only recently started using the iPad Air 2, which has been on a shelf, unused, since purchase in March 2017. Opening the Control Panel and switching the screen rotation icon On then Off seems to work. However, this is a daily occurrence, and exceptionally annoying. I might see about sending it to Apple for repair, just to force the issue with Apple, whose attention seems to be increasingly 'off the ball'.

Hi. (Congratulations, you are the 31st user reporting this problem.) Try turning off Settings > General > Accessibility > Reduce Motion. If that doesn't help, get a Clinometer app from the app store and try running it when rotation locks. Also, please report it here https://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html, being sure to mention your specific device, since it seems to affect only iPad Air 2.
