Iphone 6 - No network, Carrier option missing

My carrier had no solutions and I just couldn't work it out. 5 hours later when I'm really starting to worry about the future of my phone, I find this, and it worked. Thank you! ps I still have an oldass iPhone 5s and am due for an update anyway, but I'm sentimental. THANKYOU

Can you tell me when I press home & sleep wake it doesn't actually turn off but comes back on straight away. How long do you press both buttons?

I had just tried that and it did not work for me. I am still missing my carrier option in settings, I even waited an extra 2 minutes when I turned it off.

A little transparency over what the issue actually is would be nice.

In the mean time, time to ditch the iPhone.
