Iphone 6 - No network, Carrier option missing

My iphone 6 is constantly searching for network without success. I have tried a full factory restore but that doesnt work. The carrier option is missing in settings so I can't do a manual search. The SIM works fine in other phones and I tried another SIM in the phone (different network) and that also fails to find Network. Any solutions? Thanks

I have the same problem a hard reset seems to fix it for a while.

It looks like something is triggering a bug in the software which crashes the carrier software so it disappears from the settings menu. A hard reset of the device (two button method) seems to restore the sw until the next crash.

Would love a proper fix for this though.

Also take a look at this one Re: Iphone 6 - No network, Carrier option missing

Nothing seems to work permanently and the Apple 'Genius' merely confirmed that "there is a hardware failure". A refurbished iPhone 6 / 64Gb was offered to me for CAD $389. Yikes. First they build an iPhone with a problem, then they won't admit that anyone else has a similar problem, then they want another $389 for an iPhone that they've fixed the problem on. Very disappointed with Apple.

Peter. Similar experience to mine. There is definately a hard fault with the phone which after a while trips up the SW. but Apple support is denying the issue exists and effectively telling us to buy a new device.

Shame as I’m sure if Apple looked into this they could discover where the SW is tripping up and release a SW patch to prevent it.

My iPhone 6 keeps loosing connection, "no service". Connect after three hard resets, but looses signal again after a while. Tried everything as suggested here, plus other Google search suggested diagnostics, but the connection only lasts a couple days max. I also tried swapping SIM cards with a working iPhone, without success. Called Apple technical support today and Trent said (surprise!) he's "never heard of this problem". Sigh! Apple, stop this BS. You are either employing an incompetent idiot to answer your loyal customers, or you are B.S.ing. A simple 'iPhone 6 no service problem' Google search results in 11,400,000 hits. Most of the solutions point to a motherboard issue where a highly technical solution of reflowing certain chip sets is required. Either way, Apple is denying that there's a problem with the iPhone 6 to safe themselves from a recall. Trent made me an appointment at the "Genius" Bar. I put the "Genius" in quotation, based on the above experience. He emphatically and repeatedly said that my phone is out of warranty. Thanks Apple. Lastly, they ("Genius" Bar) will likely only restore the iPhone to original phone but that's all they will do.

No, unfortunately the Apple "Genius" confirmed that there is a hardware problem. LOL!

They wanted to sell me a refurbished iPhone 6 64Gb replacement for CAD $389. WOW. Very disappointed in Apple.

By the way, I've done the drop thing, and it is no more effective than giving your iPhone a hard 'slap'. It only lasts at the most a couple days before loosing service. In fact, it is no different (for my iPhone) than doing a few hard resets, pull Sim out and push it back in, turn airplane mode on and off.

Apple won. I have to buy another phone.

This works for me, sometimes for an hour sometimes a day or two, and trust me you look like an idiot doing it when in public.

Turn your phone off (sometime have to take sim out) hit the back of the phone on your hand hard but not hard enough to break anything shake it a little put the sim back in if you removed it turn it back on and hit it on more time Yano for good luck only hasn’t work a few times but worked the time after (it’s most likely a lose connection inside)

I gave up and used another phone unitl I dropped it two days ago and needed to get my ipone 6 plus working again.

Battery was completely dead so recharged the phone, inserted the SIM and it connected to the network! Fantastic, I thought, the phone asked if I wanted to update carrier settings, like an idiot I did and then it went back to as before, Searching and never finding a network and Carrier settings has disappeared from Settings.

There seems to be quite a lot of posts about this, surely Apple are aware of this?
