Examples of apps NOT working on your 1st gen iPad Mini, please.

The iPad Mini 1 is functionally equivalent to the iPad 2.

GIve me an example of an app that is no longer working on your iPad Mini, so I can check this for myself.

Apps just don't stop working if you have a fairly up to date or current version of an app!

I have have an original, 2010 iPad and all of the apps on that iPad still work with their last updated versions for iOS 5.1.1.

Give some app examples from your iPad Mini that either I or someone else here can check out and verify.

I have a 1st gen, 32 GBs storage (aprox. 10 GBs of free storage space left) 2010 iPad.

Over 125 apps STILL work and function on this iPad.

And many of these apps can still share files with their newer versions.

Eventually is not soon.

I do continually mention that older iPads may remain viable for a few more years or as long as older apps still operate.

Also, it has been my experience that most developers want to keep their customer base, hence the reason they leave older versions of their apps on Apple's app servers and leave them still active.

Older iPads will still have a useful life for another two, possibly, three years after this iOS 11 transition.

Many older app version may continue to still function over that span of time.

My sense is that older iOS games maybe the first apps that may start to lose functional support on older devices.

I think many types of productivity apps will fare better over for functionality over the next few years.

Most of my current version productivity and drawing/painting/sketching apps all have older versions that still work and function well to date.

Older iDevice users' mileage, over time, may vary.

Why can't i update my ipad mini 1 to ios 10?
