MacBook 2016 screen flickering

A few days ago my screen started to flicker. It looks like it rapidly turns on and off. It happens now and then and seems to end if one moves the mouse cursor to the top of the screen. I think it started after upgrading to macOs Sierra 10.12.3. Anyone else has this problem?

I have been having this same issue where my screen will start to flicker in a certain area it looks like a bunch of white bars at first I thought it was part of the video then I refreshed the page and they were no longer there. I had the 2017 MacBook Pro non touchbar this is the second unit I have had this problem with not identical but similar. User uploaded fileI am patiently waiting for apple to release a new version of the MacBook Pro as I do not trust the current version after having heard of this issue so many times and experienced it on 2 of my own

Please fix apple In need of a reliable machine!

I had this issue with my 13 inch macbook pro retina, it seemed to occur in web browsers (chrome for me) usually after I had been using the machine a while. After hours of reinstalls pram resets e.t.c apple told me to take it into the Apple store, the "genius" who looked over it said they would do a screen replacement as they could not diagnose the issue.
An Apple store engineer who returned it told me its was a known issue, the screen starts to randomly blink after a while of use. He said, the back light is starting to fail and it was a $500 dollar screen replacement, he said usually the light is only $20 - $30 dollars, but in the new machines i has been fused to the screen. I worked but unfortunately the same thing has happened to my new 15 inch. Its annoying but under heavy use, the retina screen seems to have an 18 - 24 month life. Anyway the Fix worked and at least one engineer seems to state its a common failure.

I just MacBook Pro 13 inch, 2017. 3.5Ghz I7, 16 gb ram & 512 gb ssd, Intel Iris Plus Graphics 650 1536MB.

Screen has started flickering on day two of usage. This really is bad. I tried resetting NVRAM & SMC too. It's still flickering!

After buying such an expensive premium product, such kind of problem really kills the joy. I have been using MacBooks since 2009.

Similar issues on my newish MacBook Pro 13 Touch Bar 2016 (purchased July 2017) - went to apple store complained and showed the flickering in fullscreen or when touch bar was activated.

Two weeks later - after replacing logic board and screen (over $1k in repairs) - issue persisted and case got damaged during repair - so they gave me a MacBookPro 13 Touch Bar 2017. Noticing flickering not as often as I did with my previous version.

They had no idea what the cause was - but it was linked with the use of my touch bar and full screen?

My Macbook pro 2016(without touch bar) screen has been started flicker for last couple of months. Basically it started when i updated mac os sierra. I tried resetting NVRAM , SMC & display preference setting too. It's still flickering! It looks like it rapidly turns on and off. I talked to their customer helpline. They suggested to bring it to their apple store. But unfortunately I live in Bangladesh, and there is no authorized store in my country. After buying such an expensive product, such kind of problem really can't acceptable. Does anyone have any honest suggestion? Plz help me!

My late 2016 15" flickers right out of the box...

I have updated my version to 10.13.2 but my screen flickering still persist.... I don't have any extra screen attached to my MacBook pro. At first I thought it was fixed but after restarting Macbook or let it idle for couple of hours / overnight, the screen flickering starts again. The only way to fix this for me is to disable the "Automatic graphic switching", but by doing this, my battery life is SH$T.... I think its about 3 to 4 hours of use? Just internet and text editing software, no video.

I have Intel HD Graphics 530, Radeon Pro 455

Yes, I have a similar thing too, but it happens to select portions of the screen where it starts to flicker or shake the same section over and over. It never used to happen but after the update, it's been a big issue.

I've spoken to Apple Support and gone through the whole "try this, try that" stuff. It has helped lessen how often it happens and how intense the screen flickers, but not stopped it entirely. They ended up giving me a Case ID and the number for the engineering team to call them.

I haven't found the time to call them yet, especially as it's less of an issue now than it was a few days ago. I do strongly believe it's related to the update however.
