Some Safari Website Data Will NOT Delete

When I delete website data most but not all of the data is gone.

There are several stubborn sites whose data will not delete no matter how many attempts I make!

I know how to go into Safari / Advanced / Website Data / "Remove All Website Data"

I have tried turning phone on & off

I have done a restart using the power button & lower volume button

I have closed all open windows in Safari

... and countless combinations of the above!

Nothing works!

This is the 2nd time this has happened.

The first time, the data disappeared only after a software "update" to the phone.

Would really appreciate help with this!

Thank you!

this was super helpful. I found deleting index db files actually removed all remaining removal pages from preferences, manage website data.

Regarding:

Open Finder, Click on "Go" tab and select "Go to Folder",

Type in "~/Library",

Select "Safari", then "Databases" and move all files and folders to the trash (except for _IndexedDB).

Go back to Safari Preferences, Privacy, Manage Website Data, and "Remove All".

That should do it.

Please like my answer if it was helpful!

thanks

If there is anyone from Apple, please feel free to drop me an email and educate me on how to delete website data. Apple has continued to say you can delete your website data by going to Sarfari/delete website site data/advanced/d Pete website data/ and then delete the individual websites remaining. For the past two years, people have been trying to tell you, "you can't delete all the data", but you know better than the rest of us and continue to say, use the procedure we recommend and you can delete the data. ********. Your program is broke, it has been broke for a long time, we have told you many times and still you insist on saying it is working. FIX the freaking problem and stop insulting the people that are trying to help you.
