I accidentally deleted all my ipod music when I plugged it in.. as my iphone was also connected and I synced with the iphone and laptop...how do I get it back??

I plugged in my really really old ipod... which has thousands of songs on. I didn't realise that my iphone was also plugged in (which only has 3 little voice recordings on it). I was trying to sync my ipod with the laptop so as to get all the music on the laptop and have it stored there but unfortunately I managed to sync it with the iphone thus erasing all content on both my laptop and ipod!!! ALL my music - GONE! IN a second. Please someone help me?? I bought the music and burned the music on there years and years ago... prob from a different computer.

I understand that you've synced your iPod classic with an empty iTunes library and it removed the music from the iPod. I'm happy to provide some help to try to get your music.

With the exception of purchases iTunes sync is generally one way, library to device. See Recover media from an iPod for steps to extract the hidden media files from the device if they haven't been deleted. From the sound of things they will have been so you'll need to select something from here first to reclaim the recoverable files:
