Iphone 7 freezing and lagging almost unusable

I have had an iPhone 7 for a few months now and it has worked perfectly up until a few days ago. It started with the headphone/charger not playing music to the apple headphones. Instead, it plays it through the iPhone speakers. I thought that this might just be my headphones not working but I tried using my friends earpods and still the same result. Then I tried hard resets and every other form of reboot to try and fix the problem but I still can't use headphones. Then yesterday my phone started to lag. Noticeable when scrolling pages on the home screen or turning on and off. Now today I can't even use the phone. Every time I hit the on/off button or the home button nothing happens for over a minute. I can feel the haptics working in the home button so I know something is working. When the screen finally lights up the touch screen is non-responsive for another minute or so. Then whenever thing starts to work, it freezes again and is stuck. The on/off button does not work unless I hard reset and the home button has haptics but also does nothing. Same with volume buttons. I have no idea what is happening.

This is a common defect in the iPhone 7/7 Plus. There is an issue with the audio IC on the logic board which has connections directly to the CPU. Check your Voice Memo app, and notice that the record option is greyed out. This phone needs to be taken to a professional microsolderer to be fixed.

Same issues, but not related to earphones. Lag and crash apps.

Problem started right around iPhone X launch date. Seems like a reoccurring theme tho with every new iPhone launch, to be honest.

All problems above and Also Won’t hold A call If incoming or outgoing freezes and screen turns Black. Even Cámara when switching front and back takes about 5 straight seconds to focus...

I have the same problems, as follows:

Calls don't work (making or receiving)

Facetime doesn't work (making or receiving)

Recording videos doesn't work (but taking photos do, but it lags before I can use it and phases to black after a few seconds, then to normal)

Voice memos don't work

Restarting causes:

Music to not work

Safari, instagram, youtube etc. doesn't work

Iphone lags

Iphone 7, 128 GB

Now I don't have an answer, but I'm going to try to send it for repair since nothing worked from here on.

Or if someone can give an answer, anything would be appreciated.

What I did was take it to apple. At first they try to do the same thing that I did to try to fix it, but thankfully it started to do the symptom in front of them. Since it had no physical damage cause by me what so ever, they end up replacing it. Make sure you get it resolved because it seemed like they was brushing me off after I told them I did the same things they were doing to it.

Thanks! Luckily after a forced restart everything's working ok. If it starts again I'll have to go back.

I had this exact issue - even the exact same sequence of events starting with the headphones not working. Took it to the Apple store and they swapped it out right away.

Holding the Lock Button and Volume Down button til the apple logo came back on worked and solver the lag and the headphone problem!!
