Apple Pencil not connecting or not charging

I haven't used my Apple Pencil for a month or so. When I connected it it showed a percentage of 3% and as I charged it the battery just decreased to 0

Stilll showing it's charging after 30 min I moved it to the cable to charge and disconnected the device

now that I come back After 1 hour the pen could not connect to ipad as I tried to insert it into the iPad

The Bluetooth cannot pick it up

Unfortunately I do not have an answer as I am having the exact same issue and after chatting with a support advisor last night after telling me the usual restart, turn off Bluetooth, try Airplane Mode, and it still not working their response was to either send in my Apple Pencil or take the Apple Pencil and the iPad into the Apple store. I am interested in Apple’s response as well.

I had the same issue here. I just got off chat with Apple - they wanted $90.89 to fix the issue. Interestingly:

  • the replacement would not have a warranty
  • a refurbished unit costs $85 and has a warranty
  • A brand new one is $99

Sorry Apple - this is too much. I've already switched to a Google Pixel, and will now be following suit with the rest of the ecosystem.

Bought my Apple pen when the first iPad Pro came out. Today I decided to open the box and try it for the first time. Same issue as what everyone is reporting. It charges to 3% on the iPad Pro but won’t pair. When I charged it on the main charger with an adapter, it won’t even show any charge Any more. It connects then disconnects immediately. The message says that it took too long to pair. Tried unpairing, and rebooting iPad. Unfortunately it’s been more than a year since I purchased it, so it’s a $100 junk that I never got to use. If they are going to charge so much for it, at least give it long enough warranty so that it takes care of its inherent defects. Very disappointed with Apple.

same issue as everyone else.

No sign of life from the pencil since it ran dead while sitting in my bag (hey Apple, here's an idea: An OFF SWITCH!!!

You know - so we can switch it OFF if we're not going to use it for a month or more. And then that way, it won't make itself go dead-dead (as opposed to the "mostly dead", from which Miracle Max was able to revive Wesley).
