My text messages are all out of order instead of going by most recent
My text messages all disappeared on their own one day and now my text message display is all out of order instead of by most recent. How do I fix this?

You may not be able to fix it, but I suggest closing the messages app and restart your phone.
Press the Home button two times quickly. You'll see small previews of your recently used apps. Swipe left to find the messages app. Swipe up on the app's preview to close it.
Now restart the phone and see if that reorganized the messages.
Your other option would be to restore a backup that has the text messages in it. If you do not have a very recent backup, you will lose your most recent messages and other data as well.

My iPhone has been doing this for a couple of weeks. FRUSTRATING!!
My phone is doing the exact same thing too! Frustrating!!
Closing the app and restarting the phone are only fixing it temporarily...
I'm experiencing this as well. 😠
So update. My conversations are holding the way are supposed to Have not had an issue with the latest update they put up last night.
Same here. Pretty frustrating. Seems to be a problem with iPhone/iPad and server time. Sometimes I receive messages "in one minute" 😕
Has there been a solution to this problem, i have it on my iPad and it is so very frustrating....
Help!! Has anyone got a solution to this problem, i have tried all the suggestions but no luck.....
Did you ever figure it out? I'm having the EXACT same problem and feel like I've tried EVERYTHING. I'm due an iOS update, but it won't let me do that either. It's so frustrating!!
This works on all Modern devices up to iOS 11.2.2
-Settings > General > Date and Time > Toggle off Automatic Date and Time
-Settings > Messages > Toggle off iMessage
-Settings > FaceTime > Toggle off FaceTime
-Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network settings
Once the phone restarts, toggle Automatic Date and Time, iMessage, and FaceTime back on.
Older messages may still be out of order, but new ones should come in just fine.
Please mark this as the solution, and mark it helpful if it assists you. This is the accepted troubleshooting at the moment, and has yet to fail solving this issue.
Has anyone had any luck in this issue? I have this problem as well. However the problem has some how transfered over when I restored my account onto a brand new iPhone.
I just turned the phone off ...waited 5 min, turned it back on...and problem solved!
Has anyone figured this out yet? The same thing is happening to me. I spoke with Apple Support and nothing worked so they told me to go to an Apple Store!
