Fix for No Sound in iTunes on Windows 10

OMG thank you SO much! As so many others have stated here, this was driving me nuts to the point of giving up on iTunes completely for months. I finally decided to try it again with a new install and still no sound.

Then I found this wonderful, helpful, solution, and it's playing perfectly now 🙂

I want to thank you! I was experiencing the same issue and I was so ****** off, I was ready to cancel my Apple Music subscription and switch back to Spotify. I then decided to perform a Google search and came across your post and I used your instructions and it worked like a charm! Thanks again!

Thanks for this! I've had this issue on and off ever since I got a new Windows 10 PC. Searched so many times and just got standard advice to check speaker volume etc. Tried this - worked 1st time! Much appreciated.

Thx so much for your post. I just built a new pc and sound worked fine, except for iTunes. Your post allowed me to fix it in 30 seconds. Thanks so much for taking the time to post it. It DEFINITELY was NOT intuitive to do that.

This solution worked well for iTunes Music Playback, but strangely Video Audio Output is still not coming through.

Any ideas?

I don't hug a lot of strangers, but I could ABSOLUTELY hug you right now! I was out of guesses as to why ONE program wouldn't play sound for me, and out of guesses what setting I could possibly change to fix this! THANK YOU!

WHY is this so F*CKIN DIFFICULT to use my headset?

I have to learn so much **** to use, even trying to add song to library was a f*cking process,

which I don't even try to use this anymore,

but had something I wanted to hear again (1 song), and what a F*CKING process! All over again!

Funny thing... I have heard many smart people swap to Samsung phones...

and they all say...

Galaxy Phones are more difficult to use.. but are WAYYYY Better!!!

Dude! I really appreciate you. Every time I blast my loud AF neighbors with my analog pioneer system with the four foot speakers that played everything on my laptop BUT my itunes.......I'll say a prayer for your well-being. Be blessed.

I am computer illiterate, HOWEVER, your post FIXED the problem I was having. I have no idea what I'm doing and or why; I just followed your instructions and the fuzzy audio sound I was getting was corrected! Thank you!

THANK YOU!!! I just spent an hour trying to figure out why I could hear music out of my speakers but not my wireless pro beats. I could pause the song and hear other sounds out of my computer but not iTunes. Thank you, this worked.

You are huge for this. This started a couple days ago and it would play sound through my gaming headset but not the speakers most of the time. It was hard to search for a fix since it was so specific but yea if you check this you are the goat

I just experienced this only yesterday and it happened while playing between songs. I though my audio jack had begun to be defective. But then this morning I tried playing movie and the audio works perfectly fine on my earphones. Then I search for answers. Thank you very much!!! I was just wondering, what have I done to cause this switch. Again the problem occurred between songs, there were no windows update that I was aware of. So any other info (aside from windows update) how this (Play Audio Setting) occurred. Thanks again, this information is so very helpful.
