Pixellated iTunes Visualizer

lol, bumped into this, after updating and solved it by going out of fullscreen to window mode, turning it off then turning it back on and fullscreen back.

The solution is pretty simple:

1. Go in fullscreen mode (CMD + T), then move your cursor to the top, ti'll the mac bar pops down and click the GREEN stretch icon (should be the only green action button).

2. After this, the itunes visualiser should be in window mode, hit CMD +T again (or from mac menu, view > visualiser > hide visualizer) to turn it off.

3. Then again hit CMD + T to turn it back on.

At this point it shouldn't be pixalated anymore.

4. from mac bar, view > enter fullscreen.

There you go, the nice and sharp iTunes Visualizer ^.^

I'd be inclined to believe you when you say you've looked through "all settings in iTunes," so I assume you've seen this:

Why does iTunes look blurry?

Your links aren't helpful at all.

1) The settings in the Macworld link have nothing to do with screen resolution. (The keyboard shortcuts don't seem to be working in my visualizer since the latest update btw)

2) The second link refers to preference tabs that no longer exist in the latest version.

Updated iTunes yesterday 31/03/17 to Version 12.6.0.100

OSX 10.10.5

Thursday night before the update it was running normally, Friday night i opened it and it was so bright it nearly burned out my retinas especially as i was watching it in the dark. 3 of the visualizers (Lathe,Jelly and Stix) have disappeared completely.

The screen is blurred, the Apple image appears much larger than before and very blurred. The actual image has changed as well just a load of bright lights (there were planets whirling around on it previously)

Also none of the keyboard shortcuts now appear

I hope this gets resolved quickly as i record my own music on garageband then transfer it to iTunes and like having the visualizer on when listening

Your welcome, I don't know why it does that, apparently it detects a low resolution mode then when you do that "hack" I just posted above, it checks the resolution again and works right.

The problem seems to be only on macOS since my PC doesn't have that problem (latest version of iTunes).

Thanks, that worked. It's a temporary fix though because once you go out of visualiser and then back in it reverts to 'pixellated mode' and you have to apply the fix all over again. Hopefully this will get sorted as an update soon. Though I don't expect it to be a high priority sadly. But thanks for the workaround.

Although I was having some difficulty with step 1: When I moved my mouse to the top, my cursor had disappeared! If anyone else has this problem, use the shortcut Ctrl + CMD + F instead.

So to recap: CMD + T, Ctrl + CMD + F (twice)

your welcome, I had the same problem, shaking the cursor will make it reappear.

the CTRL CMD F, sometimes gives a fail for me so I prefer to use the visual button 😀

Hey There i had exactly the same problem,i used the quick fix but there are no options or the other visualisers to pick from and iTunes does not show the music playing etc many many issues,has anyone reported this to apples to fix?

Apple always gives PC owners priority because it's a bigger market. There a a lot of things that don't work with various versions of Os X that work just fine with Windows 10 on my Mac Pro. My iPad Pro connects best with Windows since Apple says they can't make it do that with Os X due to hardware limitations. Funny how the same machine isn't limited with Windows. Sad that Apple can't even do the basics any more.

Same thing happened to me after updatind iTunes to 12.6. I am very disappointed with Apple developers! In iTunes 12.5.5.5 Visualizer was OK, I'm using it since 2005, so please...

I have exactly the same problem since upgrading to iTunes 12.6.0

Same issue here. Both visualizers look awful. Just who the heck is QC'ing this stuff before it goes RC or GM? "I don't always test my code, but when I do, I do it in Production."

So, until Apple sorts this out it's back to a previous version for me. If I can figure out how to find and install.

Same problem here 12.6 version of visualizer is messed up. Really *****. They've messed up iPhoto too by taking away many options!!! I used visualizer a lot so get it fixed apple!
