unable to edit multiple items after iTunes 12.6 update

I updated to Itunes 12.6 a few days ago and realized today that I am unable to edit multiple items. I can only edit one at a time. Anyone else experiencing this?

MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.6.6)

it looks like the original issue is fixed in iTunes 12.6.1; workaround not needed anymore?

I still have this issue. The view as workaround doesn't work, and I have the latest update, 12.6.2. I'm about to punch my computer.
