Here is a clue...
I am on 27" iMac, late 2015, w/retina, El Capitan, Safari 10.1
Try this and maybe you can make some sense of it...
Were I an Apple engineer I would think I had a good lead here, can anyone shed some light?
I think last time Apple really "made us the favor" was with Snow Leopard.
The only OS upgrade that made the machine function better and faster without upgrading the hardware...
"it would also be nice to know that apple listen to its customers."
If Apple listened to its customers, we wouldn't have this awkward and unconveniente message board. 😠
Loyalty to consumers is a concept long lost to Apple.
I am afraid it died with Steve Jobs.
I hope everyone that gets the error report every time after this happens DOES click the button to send the report EVERY TIME IT HAPPENS. Drive them crazy with it.
you have to keep going... I'm from Spain, you know, we are really stubborn ... 🙂 😉
besides, wer are many and they are few... only one. They didn't even reply to me by DM... and will keep going.
touchMe... thanks for sharing, for your boldness and for your time...
Let's make Apple to fix this.
They are going to call me tomorrow... let's see. If they think I'm going to update to Sierra they are going to be disappointed... 😁
Yep, I couldn't agree more. The best MacOS in ages.
I used to have it set up on a external hard drive, just like you, but it stopped booting once I got my new iMac.
Same for me. I think is a Safari problem.
Hope that Apple will fix it soon. Seems that they are spending a lot of time creating space machines rather than better and simple experiences.
I swear to god that was exactly what he told me over the phone, more than once.
Yeah, it's pretty serious that you don't have support and you are force to upgrade after two years or less.
Wow! It works 🙂
Thanks for the tip.
In fact it seems to work on any setting as long as you don't calibrate and save it as a custom setting - if so it starts happening again.
I totally agree.
And for people that color is critical this can be a more serious problem than the Safari bug.
I agree, it's only a clue (sRGB IEC61966-2.1 is closest to desired), so yes, maybe those of us speaking to Apple can pass this 'clue' along?!
At least it's a temporary fix which makes life easier for now... and hopefully will give apple a clue as to what is causing it 🙂
WOW!!!! Thanks!!! Now they have a clue to fix the issue.
I wonder if we can't clone or copy that profile to fix the issue and keep the color. Perhaps the same one from Sierra?
