Can't Remove a Few Cookies Safari 10.1

After Safari update to 10.1 with Yosemite, several cookies can no longer be removed. Did the usual Prefs>Privacy>Manage Website Data>Remove All. When done, 3-4 cookies come back.

Tried Develop>Empty Cache, Always block cookies, turned WiFi off, cleared history, cleared iPhone & iPad history but these cookies still come back.

FWIW, two of the cookies are Yahoo & eBay. After deleting the cookies, I'm no longer logged into yahoo or eBay. So something got erased but the list in Manage Website Data still shows them being there.

Bug, something new, suggestions for really removing cookies?

If they are in your Favorites, they will re download cookies.

Thanks for your confirmation this is new behavior. Are your 4 ever cookies the same as mine: eBay, yahoo, REI, Weather.com?

You are welcome. Have you tried deleting the sites from your browser?

Interestingly enough, I've never visited any of these sites except Wordpress. I did however save some floral images for research on an oil painting, that were possibly linked to those sites.

BTW, I did these steps w/ the offending URLs in my Bookmarks Menu not my Favorites bar.

Later I will move them back to Favorites to see what difference that makes.

Eric Root's approach worked perfectly for Safari 10.1 on OS X 10.11.6. Five recently acquired unremovable cookies disappeared permanently. Thanks!

I have done this ~/Library/Safari/Databases and there in anything there. I get 15 sites that wont go away. grrrr
