Beats X won't turn on after charge

After I've charged my BeatsX for at least a minimum of 30 minutes, they fail to turn on.

As it's charging, I can see the red LED slightly pulsating

But when I try turn the headphones on the LED flashes 3 times.

Are these faulty???

Same problem here. Worked fine one minute, next minute wouldn't charge. Beats X were only 1 month old with normal usage and now they're done. Sending them back to Apple. What the **** is going on here? These were pushed back several months for what reason? Apple needs to get their act together cause this is definitely unacceptable...

I too had this issue. Bought them on 23/2/17 and have been using my normal iphone cable to charge them as the supplied cable is to short. I took them to an apple store today 17/5 and spoke to the first person at the door and told them they weren't charging. She didn't ask any questions, didn't test them, simply scanned my receipt, went and grabbed another pair and swapped them over.

I was so surprised, but something tells me I havent been the first person.

Same on my end too. Completely bricked less than a month after buying, and they don't even do refund anymore - they changed the refund policy to 14 days. I need to send it in for a repair, and they don't fix it at apple stores. Need to ship it in for a repair, they take 2 BUSINESS DAYS to ship you a mailing label, then 2+ BUSINESS DAYS to ship it to the depot, and 3 -5 BUSINESS DAYS to fix it. Severely disappointed. I will tell my friends and family to stay away from beats for now.

I've had my BeatsX for about 40 days. Yesterday they died in a fraction of the time as normal and with minimal use (took one call and listen to one song). I thought nothing of it, plugged them up, and left them alone. I was getting ready to leave about 45 minutes later and grabbed them off the charger only to find out they will not come on at all, no power whatsoever.

I tried all the resets listen online and with phone support. They eventually told me I have to send them in and they'll be replaced.

The troubling part is I've taken super good care of these, no exposing them to moisture of any kind, etc. and they die on me in just over a month. Now that I'm reading about it online, it seems they're earphones are faulty. I went with Beats because I trust the Apple brand so this is a huge let down and it has me concerned about the replacements they're going to send me.

I'm having a similar problem. Got this BeatsX 2 months ago. Was working perfectly fine until today. Was still using it yesterday until it ran out of battery. Today, couldn't turn it on at all despite charging.

Then tried the hold the start button+volume down button for 10 seconds, ended up flashing white lights while being charged. Once I remove the charger, the light disappears and can't be switched on despite me trying the reset steps again.

I'm so upset as this is a new earphone and I took great care of it..

Had my beatsX for 67 days. Tried to turn them on last night, white light blinked twice and then goes off. Tried to charge on three different chargers, Red light blinks sporadically and goes off when I unplug. Push the on button and nothing happens. Tried to reset but nothing happens.

Took to Apple Store today, Apple guy thoroughly examined the air phones like he was giving them a proctological exam!! Said he had to send them in and a new/and or refurbished pair would appear on my doorstep in 7 to 10 days. He said they would not exchange them in the store because I have had them for over 30 days, although there are comments in this thread where they've made a direct exchange to people that have had them for a lot longer than that

What a bummer! He claimed that he is only seen one pair turned in for service since they came out on February 17! Looking at the number of complaints on this thread, I'd say his head must've been in the clouds the whole time he's been working at Apple.

I really have enjoyed my beatsX, but if they can't last longer than two months before crapping out, I'm going to want a refund on this product.

I've also had this problem and others. I thought at first it was sweat getting into the open charging port which sits on your shoulder when exercising.

I wondered also if it it might be to do with how the headset is coiled up in the case as seems to work if I press the battery but switched off when I release it, suggesting some kind physical connection problem.

I'm on my second pair now as the first had to be replaced. The second one is exactly the same design though, so presumably it's only a matter of time before the same thing happens.

In the shop, i was told they'd had a lot of faulty beats x headsets returned.

Yeah Apple won't admit it on the phone when I call them either (brought it up 8 different times and each time a deflection or diversion occurred).

Definitely think they did something to disable them accidentally. I got mine back yesterday and am hoping the stay working, because I love them and would hate to have any bad taste for any apple product (since I'm all Apple everything).

I am in the UK and mine have just died. They were fully charged and now will not turn on at all. Tried the hold down for 10 seconds but nothing. I am working nights so unable to go to an Apple store until next Saturday and I will not be happy if they do not exchange them. We all should have a one year warranty so surely that means they should just exchange them no questions asked?

I'm in America. The store refused an exchange and I had to go through the mail with the warranty. Took about 10 to 12 days to get my new pair. Also, they refused to acknowledge this thread where this seems to be a common issue with this model. The first person went so far as to say mine was an "isolated incident," to which I told them they were clearly being deceitful.

It's troubling when $150 pair of ear buds go completely dead in 31 days. I'm worried about the replacements too. Hopefully the UK store will replace for you, but here in Nashville Tennessee, they told me mail only.

I never put mine in the case, I hang them on a small little hook while charging, they still died 31 days later.

I never wore mine mowing the yard or exercising or anything where sweat is involved (because I use them for work and conference calls & didn't want to mess them up), the still died 31 days later.

It's seeming to me, based on all the forums and others I've spoken with about the issue, that it has to do with the product itself and an update Apple pushed through for them (they update while connected to iOS devices).

Getting Apple to admit that, or even acknowledge it as a possibility, was an act in futility.
