Beats X won't turn on after charge

After I've charged my BeatsX for at least a minimum of 30 minutes, they fail to turn on.

As it's charging, I can see the red LED slightly pulsating

But when I try turn the headphones on the LED flashes 3 times.

Are these faulty???

Same problem here. Worked fine one minute, next minute wouldn't charge. Beats X were only 1 month old with normal usage and now they're done. Sending them back to Apple. What the **** is going on here? These were pushed back several months for what reason? Apple needs to get their act together cause this is definitely unacceptable...

My Beats X just died too.

They were working fine until a few days ago, and then nothing - no lights, no sounds, nothing.

In the last few days I've tried every method to reset (inc holding down reset for over 2 minutes..), nothing helped. Now the white light is on and won't turn off.

I'm on a 4 week business trip in Asia, so no chance to take them back or get them fixed.

I tried to find when the firmware updates were pushed through to see if it was an update that killed them..

There must be a firmware update that can fix this, or a way to back-date the firmware to the previous version that worked..

Does anyone know if this is possible?

Very plausible. Happened a couple of minutes ago again randomly while watching a live stream. The Flex Cable might actually not be as durable as advertised and coiling them up to store them in the case is a bad idea.

That or it's the magnets from the earbuds which are interfering with the chips. This could also be possible because once the Beats X are in their case the magnetic part comes into direct contact with the logic and battery parts.

Add my reply here, it happened to me after using beatX for less than 3 months.

1. whenever I turn on my beatsX it blinks 3 times with (white lights)

2. I can't connect to any device at all (it just won't show up 😟)

3. when I charge the beatsX the red indicator is slightly blinking

4. after I tried all the reset methods... My beatsX just completely died (no light at all, even during charging)

😟 this is very disappointing, I didn't expect this could happen to Apple product 😟

I have the same issue. I bought my beatsx from the online applestore last July 16. It took 3 weeks to arrive and finally got delivered Aug 4. It's now Aug 14 and the headphone is not working anymore. I used it for 10 days! I took it to the service center and they said that it would take 4 weeks to get my unit back. They said its still up for "further diagnostics" if they would repair or replace the unit. They also said I might be charged for the parts. I just saw this thread now, had I known earlier that this was a common issue, I would have just demanded for a refund! 3 weeks to be delivered, 10 days of use and another 4 weeks for repair... such a crappy product and service!!! Not what i expect from apple!

I just bought a jaybird x3. Can't wait for this piece of crap!

I was so excited to hear about the Beats X. After using them for a month this problem also happened to me. The hard reset did not work. The only solution was sending them to apple for repair. Sadly after receiving my replacement pair, I experienced the same outcome. I honestly think there is something faulty with this line all together. I never worked out with them, I wear them mostly when I go to work under my blazers. I am glad apple replaced them but paying 100+ for head phones that only work for a few months is a bummer. I bought these thinking they would be a better alternative to my LG Tones (which by the way are a year old and still work) but so far its been more of a head ache.
