Universal Clipboard not working

Hello,

The matter in question involves a MacBook Pro Late 2012, and an iPhone 7 Plus. I'm running the newest updates. I have checked and Apple should still support Universal Clipboard on the MacBook Pro Late 2012. I have checked to make sure handoff is turned on for both devices, and checked to see if the feature works for either Mac to iPhone and vice versa, and neither way works. Also, apps like Messages from the iPhone show up in the dock on the Mac with handoff. Does anyone know any troubleshooting I should try or any possible known solutions? Thank you.

I tried all the recommended fixes: same software version on all devices, handoff enabled on all devices, resetting handoff settings with restarts, confirmed Bluetooth on and all devices on same Wifi network. I ultimately got it to work by signing out of iCloud on all devices and resigning in on all devices. It appears that new signings security protocls were keeping handoff from working properly. Everything is working properly now for me, Good luck!

So, when Universal Clipboard was first introduced, it worked for me the first time, and every time. (I have a late 2014 MacBook Pro and an iPhone 6s Plus.) Recently, I'd say probably in the last couple of weeks or so, it will work intermittently. I haven't changed any settings so I'm unsure what the issue is. There is no consistency with the issue. Sometimes Universal Clipboard will work if my phone and laptop are both on the same wifi network, and then other times, it will not work while on the same wifi network, but it'll work if I turn wifi off on my phone. I have no clue. I'm still waiting to see if Apple realizes there's an issue.

Help, please!

We have two iPad Pros... one works with Universal Clipboard the other does not...

Just used son’s iPad... he copied from iPad and I pasted on my iPhone 6+ - it worked!

I then copied from family iPad, but the paste on the iPhone 6+ was from son’s iPad... and pasted on family iPad was from family iPad not son’s iPad.

We looked and handoff, wifi, Bluetooth and iCloud settings are identical across the two iPads.

Does anyone have any recommendations, please?

Thanks,
Michael

I must agree. I have a 2016 MBP with an iPhone X. I have followed all the steps above. I am on the same network with both devices. Both have Bluetooth enabled. I've tried connecting them to each other via Bluetooth. I've enabled continuity on both devices. No universal clipboard. Not at all. This is lame. I'm sending feedback to Apple to ask for a fix. Can't believe how much bad stuff slides through now under Cook.

I have never gotten Universal Clipboard to work with iPhone 7/iOS 11 and MacBook Pro 2015 and 2017, with both Sierra and High Sierra. I have tried every combination of turning Bluetooth on and off, wifi on and off, restarting the phone, restarting the computer. HandOff is enabled on both devices; phone is connected to computer by Bluetooth; I'm signed in to iCloud under the same account on both machines; I'm on the same wifi network. Doesn't work.
