Location of microphone on iPad Air 2

When I googled this question, all the answers found, were incorrect. They provided the location of the mic on an iPad Mini or original iPad but this was incorrect for the Air 2. After a bit of testing, I found the location to be a pin hole just above the volume buttons.

Do you have a case over it that may be obscuring the microphone?


All iPad 2's I've ever come across have 2 microphones as stated.


1 above the volume buttons, and the second one next to the camera on the back.


Are you saying there is no hole next to the camera on the back?


Perhaps if you post a picture of your iPad from the back we can confirm what you see.

Maybe, maybe not.


But that is not the point. Both pinholes are microphones.


Whether they are used or not at a specific time is not important. They are in fact microphones:
