Apple Pay freezing screen on iPhone 6s

Hi, yes, the screen has been replaced with an non genuine lcd screen.

As I said before, I have tried paying with the Iphone unlocked and without touchID and it did freeze too...

I have read that some non genuine screens needs the iPhone to be restored through DFU to make them work fine in ios11, so I’m going to do a DFU restore right now and I will try tomorrow again.

To clarify - are you using DFU to downgrade the firmware? or just restoring via DFU? If the former - is there recommended firmware version to use? (from my reading of DFU, I thought that path was to select a specific firmware version installed, otherwise you would just restore?) If your results are successful - would like to hear the path taken.

Did you ever find a fix for this? it drives me crazy as I have to soft-reset the phone after using Apple Pay.

I can turn the screen on with the home button but the touch screen does not work.

I have the exact same problem and it drives me insane. Have you since found a solution yet ? Or maybe taken it to an Apple Store and they've told you way to do ??

Hi - i've not taken it to the store because it's out of warranty. Any fix they'll suggest will come with a £500 price tag.

This just started happening to me as well after the 11.0.2 update. Never experienced it before now it has happened 3 times, all right after Apple Pay, restart fixes it.

Tried Apple Pay for the first time today on my iPhone 7 and have the exact same issue.

I have replaced my screen myself with a third party one, don’t know if this might be the problem.

Same problem here - from mid-December on my "2 year plus 1 day" iPhone 6s plus. Phone freezes, and just does not se the till point. keep being told to hold it closer to the reader ..... any ideas ?

no screen change for me - seems more like a NFC problem ?

Same issue for me - iPhone 8 new from Apple Store - problem started after 1 week of success with Apple Pay and the Japan Suica system.

well - I cant speak for all - if you've bought a new phone I have no solution...
I've accepted that the fake screen is the cause of my freezing applepay - maybe it isn't . .. but i think it is.

@FranSirv - has the screen been replaced on your phone? Just fyi, I do not believe you will see a different behavior accessing pay via the wallet app (my phone locks up in either case).
