The Health, Activity, and 3rd Party(Bowflew) apps are not syncing properly

I have a Bowflex Max Trainer. I downloaded the Bowflex app specifically for it to sync up my work outs. It does that very well. My issue is with the Health (phone) and Activity (watch) apps.

I'll start with the Health app. The data transfers over but the time stamp is completely wrong.

Example: I work out from 11:30pm to 11:50pm. When I sync up the statistics, I open the Health app and go into Active Energy > Show All Data > (Current day). I see the start and end times that the app collected as 11:50pm to 12:10am.

This causes a large amount of issues. Lets start with the fact the calorie numbers are immediately wrong. I learned real quick that you have to move the Bowflex to the top of the source list or the watch will override the data and won't count it. But if it isn't using the correct time stamp, the watch is still collecting data while I am working out. So instead of seeing say 500 Calories burned over that time period, I am seeing 650. (Not sure why it isn't 1000 but data collection differences is a question for a different thread) 650 = 150 from the watch for the 20 minutes that I actually worked out plus 500 for the workout that was time stamped 20 minutes in the future. The reason I supplied the example above is because that is exactly what happened to me last night. Since it had my work out end after midnight, it took half of my calories and put them on the NEXT day. This also creates an another issue in that my workout has to stop for those 20 minutes because if I went on to the next exercise, it wouldn't count those calories since the Bowflex app is set to override everything else. I also see my exercise minutes nearly double because of this issue. I checked the Bowflex app and there are no settings involving time. In fact, the actually time isn't even a data point in the history data. It only collects duration and the date. I have waited a period of time before syncing up the iPhone with the Bowflex just to experiment with the issue. My thought was that maybe it considers the start time from when you sync the data but that wasn't the case. It always gives me a start time from when I actually completed my workout.

The Activity app collects this data and specifically shows all the information that was collected. It even goes as far to show it on the bar chart under Move and Exercise as well as workouts. The 40 exercise minutes from the example are updated under the exercise minutes and I see them on my Apple Watch and I also see that a workout has been added. I do not see the correct calorie information. It does not count the data collected and doesn't reflect it in the active calories burned for the day even though it shows it on the bar chart.

Here are my questions:

Why is this time stamp error happening and are there any adjustments I can make to correct it?

Why are my calories not being updated in the Activity app? I only see the calories the watch thinks I burned over that time period.

Have there been other issues with 3rd party apps transferring information like this in the same manner?
