iPad Pro 10.5" back protection case

That's the problem with gift cards - stores have their own rules and, they usually issue credit to the same method that was used for payment. A gift card is the same as an in store credit..... do you purchase things at the iTunes store? You could buy an iTunes gift card with your credit. Just an idea.

Thank you for the suggestion.I don't buy much on itunes. I'm very new to apple/ipad (only owned the 9.7 for a month) so ill check out itunes and see whats available, or re-gift the $50 gift card to someone in the family.

But it really is crazy that Apple makes- what amounts to 'half ' a case to protect a computer.

My Luvvitt case just arrived today. It does NOT work with the Apple smart keyboard. It was clearly advertised on Amazon as compatible with both the Smart Cover and the Smart Keyboard.

I emailed Luvvitt and within 10 minutes received the following:

"Thank you very much for contacting us and we apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. Please note that we will be modifying our case and will ship out a new one as soon as possible."

I will post about the new case once I get it.

It does not work with the Smart Keyboard. They are offering a free replacement when they fix the issue, but that is not supposed to be until late June. I really wish Apple would bring the silicon cover back for this product. It makes no sense why they do not have it.

You can provide feedback on the product and make feature requests. That's probably the most direct route if you want to request something.

I got the Jetech Case noted earlier in this thread at Amazon, and I am very pleased with it. I am an Apple Smart/Cover/Silicone case owner for my 9.7" iPad, and this case is very very close to the same, and I paid the $3.99 as a Amazon Primer user to get it next day since I didn't have protection for my new iPad! The magnetic feature that turns on the iPad, and the trifold stand capability are identical to the Apple 9.7" case. All the openings are there that need to be. The material is just a very slight bit different, a little harder, yet it really looks and feels the same. It is close enough in performance and weight that I am not sure I have any need to get an Apple case if they come out with one.

Just received my JETech 3052 Black. As donawalt said - it just like the old one, fit and finish is good. This was the right choice. Only thing I wish I could have waited (black was the only color available on amazon) for some other colors to come to market. Don't love the black - wanted blue, but that's a personal aesthetic choice.

From what I've read online, apple will not release silicon cases for the 10.5" iPad Pro and has discontinued same for the 12.9"

maybe because to promote their sleeves for their iPad. but yeah I'm looking for a case too.

do you think the Apple Pencil is worth buying? I got the iPad Pro 10.5" yesterday and so far I'm loving it!

I have seen the pencil and played around with it. On the 10.5" it is really amazing. But I didn't buy one, because I have no need for markup, sketching, or other use cases it is promoted with. So I would say if you *need* a pencil, I would recommend this one without hesitation!

I too am hoping Apple will produce a back protection Case for the iPad Pro 10.5 it does seem crazy that they have not so far.

In order to protect my new device I have bought a third party smart case, which is a similar design to the Apple one I had on my iPad Air 2, but not the quality sadly.

The advantage of a bespoke Apple case protecting the back, will be that the Smart Cover or Keyboard can be attached and swapped without having to remove the case protecting the back.

Feedback sent to Apple with this enhancement request for a case for the iPad Pro 10.5. Hopefully they will take note if enough people send Feedback about this issue.

I just tried the 1st generation 12.9 inch case on my 2nd generation ipad pro. It fits the sled, but the camera knockout is too small, the flash has been turned 90 degrees from the first generation, and there's no microphone knockout. Add my vote for a new back protection case, please!

TOTALLY AGREE! Because the camera protrudes from the back of the iPad, a back cover is absolutely mandatory. It may look cool but it isn't functional at all. Frankly, the design *****. It is flawed and NEEDs a case or you will damage/scratch the camera. NEEDs a back like the 9.7" one that works with the Smart Cover.

I am waiting for the case to be released, it is the only thing I am not happy about, I will pay what they charge because the silicone cases they make are very high quality which Is a must have to protect my iPad Pro 10.5

Apple does what Apple wants. Their history is not selling you what YOU want, but making you want what they sell. They didn't care that the overwhelming population didn't want to lose their 3.5 mm earphone jack. Too bad - you don't have it. So we can whine all we like, they won't sell a sled for the back unless they want to. Perhaps they want you to bang up your iPad so you'll buy another to help spur drooping sales - who knows. But this I DO know - nothing said here will make a difference.
