How do I open pw protected zip file?

Hello,

I have a pw protected zip file and want to open this in my MAC.

The zip file and the pw are correct, it works with 7zip under windows.

I tried millions of apps to unzip it under MAC, always the same "wrong password" (or something like that). When I try to do it via CLI, I got the following error:

"unsupported compression method 99"

Any hints how to open this file without using a windows program?

I forgot to mention, I am running 7-Zip 16.04 on Windows.

Try a different password with no "blanks" and no special characters. Also try changing the extension to .7z.

Yes, I would like, but it is not possible and reproducing such kind of zip did not work for me.

Don't know what else to tell you. The extension for 7-Zip files should be .7z not .zip. I imagine special characters and spaces could also be a problem.
